Poll Results: How many PS3 games do you own?

LOOKS LIKE SOMEONE NEEDS TO FIND THE CAPS LOCK BUTTON FIRST, PULL HIS HEAD OUT OF HIS ASS SECOND, AND BUY SOME GAMES THIRD.

you guys werent specific on whether or not PSN games counted, I have 3 of those already.

Actually, I don't own any physical games, but bought Flow, Super Rub-A-Dub, Blast Factor, and Super Rub-A-Dub. Does that count as 0 or 4? I might pick up Oblivion or Motorstorm after I'm done with classes, but Blazing Angels might be good too (I'm a WWII flight sim nut, so the arcade aspects of that game might drive me crazy, fortunately I can rent it). I'm mainly looking forward to jprgs (Enchanted Arms was horrible, thank god for renting), Lair, Heavenly Sword, Ratchet and Clank, and LBP for this year. I'm praying for FolkSoul and Eternal Sonata getting U.S. releases for the ps3 soon too.

Wow, I'm on fire tonight. Can't believe I listed Super Rub-A-Dub twice... Gauntlet is the fourth game.

Define "a few months", because I don't consider about half a year "a few months". That could just be me though. Also, it is bad, considering most owners of the competition have more than 3-4 games each. Some of you may not think one of those is fair (360), but hey, that's the perk of having a headstart. Then again, many Wii owners, including those who complain about the drought, have owned 3-4 games since the Holiday season came to a close.

Out of 3549...turns out that 2912 own a PS3 and at least 1-10 games. And 637 say, "xbox rulz!"

Remember that its only been out here in Europe for little more than one month.
Also, 6 months is "a few months" in the life cycle of a console.
But its no secret that good titles are sorely lacking in numbers. I predict that many ps3 will hibernate for a few months before the fall releases.

Well games I want for the ps3 are:
Metal Gear solid 4
Final Fantasy 13
God of War 3
Kingdom hearts 3(if tetsuya nomura ever makes it on the ps3)
The next Ico/Shadow of the colossus/ type game.
Silent hill 5(They are making this I hope?)
Resistance fall of man(I wait till its a Greatest hit).
etc.

who the hell buys a 600 dollar ps3 and doesnt own any games????

It was a skewed option. I voted None, and I don't even own a 360 (and the original Xbox was crap). I highly doubt most of those votes came from the Xbots.

If they mean by console cycle, then my apologies. However, I get the impression that "a few months" has more to do with counting months than months within a console cycle. I would imagine 24 months could be considered "a few months" by cycle scale. But yeah, the good games are few and far between, and have been since launch.

The consoles launched, the Holiday season hit, and those (of my friends) who bought PS3s had Resistance and maybe Madden NFL 07. Those who bought Wiis had all sorts of games (some good, some bad). By February I had Wii Sports (obviously), Red Steel, NFS: Carbon, Excite Truck, Splinter Cell, Madden 07, WarioWare, and Trauma Center.

On an unrelated note, I think consoles are getting dogged for no reason lately. I mean, each console has it's faults, but it seems like a lot of people are attacking the consoles for all the wrong reasons. The 360 doesn't have Wi-Fi, yet those who have Wi-Fi are in the minority (we're growing, but still a minority). The PS3 doesn't have squat coming, even though there are a lot of big name titles set for 2007. The Wii doesn't have any major killer apps, yet there are tons of *good* games already out (believe it or not, but I really enjoyed Double Agent, and WarioWare is tough to top in terms of party games).

Attack the consoles for real reasons. The 360 is likely to die in a matter months. The PS3 is $600. The Wii doesn't have the power to match the competition.

number 8, how could u possibly wait upwards of year (or more) to get fall of man. it is the best ps3 game so far.

Well GL, Let us think about the reason that so many people own a ps3. It's crazy, but I'm going to go out on a limb here and say this is the ps3fanboy site. I Know, crazy isn't it? I mean why would there be ps3 owners on the ps3fanboy site!? It boggles the mind, I know, but you have to believe me on this. This is the ps3fanboy site.

I have Fall of Man, NBA (it was a gift) and VF5.

and I voted for 3-4 games.

I know two guys that only own 1 game for their ps3, but have at least 10 blu-ray movies. As for me, I only own Resistance.

I don,t own a ps3 of yet. for them people who have a PS3 and no games =S I don,t get that. ok you can watch blu-ray movies ..but come on its all about games. I really wish sony would stop all the hardware BLA! and set there sights on games again
