Video: Halo 3 blue orb and third person view

Great to see you got it up before the Bungie ninjas killed it. Kind of hard to see anything, but still Halo 3!

the 'turret' doesn't seem to be shooting bullets. It's definately not the same reticle as the other video. my guess is that it's the gauss turret. (or the newest incarnation of it) it's a pretty obvious guess though

So much Halo 3 news. Looking foreward to it though, but not as much as Halo 2.

i really don't think thats the turret, and there's really no clear shot of it in the video, so besides the 3rd person view, nothing really points out that that's the turret.

So does this mean that you can activate camo whenever you want? You can just press the "X" button whenever you're ready, that would be kick ass.

Well, it does say "Camo" on the screen when he runs over it. Then it jumps forward to what looks like possibly a Human Brute Shot, or a Gauss weapon of some sort. It looked like Grenades were being fired to me.

I imagine that the turret in hand is a the Gauss cannon from that model of Warthog.

It's probably very limited in range and ammo for game balancing (like how the regular turret is limited by battery) and that is probably why it shoots the way it does.

What a chicken. If you are going to break a non-disclosure agreement, atleast make it worth our time. This is the last of the pre-beta (unofficial) videos I'm going to watch. The Beta comes out in 10 days, and I'd like atleast 1 or 2 surprises when I finally download and play it. I knew about the camo, I knew about the turrets, it's time to quit before something really awesome gets spoiled.

you realize, I'm sure, that Halo 3 has yet to be rated. You mean to say over'hyped' for one. Secondly, that's not a fair criticism because realistically this game is being vastly underhyped. Bungie only releases the tiniest bits of info on an occasional basis and most of that info is irrelevant to the gameplay. (gun measurements, soldier testomonials..) Yet people devour this info and spread as thin as possible for any trace of hidden content possible. Does that happen with any other game? maybe it does but i'm unaware of such another game. The 'hype' that you seem to detest is generated from halo's fanbase's passion for this franchise not shared by many other games.

I'm a semi-frequent forum poster and in my time i've not often found halo fans claiming halo is the best game ever or that other games can't match halo's greatness. I find people talking about halo and how much they love it and discussing tactics and tips and complaints and ideas etc. it's only when haters like you come in and downplay halo's competence as a great game that these fanboys turn rabid and assault you.

If you don't like halo that's fine. If it bugs you that people love it that's fine too. but don't disregard the game for something less than it is. It's a great franchise.

Wow, you know guys, looking at the evolution of halo from the 1st one to this one, you can really see that they are fudgepacking it with everyconceviable idea imaginable (spelling error sorry). seriously, think about it. now we have all of these new features that are simply stated, revolutionary and there are bound to be at least one that ends up being a total mistake. personally, i love all these new features but am scared that the trip mine is gonna ruin everything cause noobs can ruin the driving portion.

I BET THAT WHATEVER WE SEE BEING LEAKED IS JUST A PART OF THE CRAZY FEATURES THAT WE ARE BOUND TO SEE COME THE DEMO

You can tell that this is the last halo on this series because they are obviously putting everything that they ever wanted to put in a game in this one.
and by the way, samus, snake, and marcus could kick mastercheif's ass.

Aww DumbArse, how Halo fans love you. People that can't appreiciate the greatness of Halo 1 or 2 are insane. Halo 2's online experience has yet to be topped. Halo 1 made console FPS's fun. What Halo 3 does is yet to be seen. If not Halo, where can an Xbox owner get his great FPS experience anyway?

Snake would get his elderly ass stomped in immediately, Samus would take down the Chief's shields and die a heroic death yet again, and then Marcus would finish the fight with the chainsaw, but, while gloating, he'd be blown up by the plasma grenade the chief dropped just before he went down.

Also, I miss the Olestra jokes of the mid and late nineties, so could we please refer to any further Halo 3 footage as "Hanal 3 leakage"?

u kno if the chief, snake, samus and fenix were real, then technically the fight would be between the chief and samus cause 1. snake and fenix are regular humans with training. 2. yea samus is too but she has that suit so shes really the only one that can match up to the chief. a chainsaw couldnt cut threw that armor and did u forget the chief is 10 times stronger then a normal human and can jump higher. i rest my case

that may be true but lets put it this way, how about DOUBLES... would mastercheif and marcus fenix be able to defeat snake and Samus.
Note: if you say that mastercheif and marcus would win, then you like xbox more than PS3 and wii combined...haha just kidding... just answer the question

personally i think that snake can take fenix but samus is no match for cheif so it would eventually come down to cheif and snake but because of snakes old ass, he would be finished off faster than a burger in a eater anonymous meeting

Oh, please, what's Snake going to do against Fenix? Tag him with a dart and stuff him a locker? Snake would be down in the first round. Cause of death: Either lung cancer or torquebow.

yea but snake has experience and a camo suit. in a fair fight marcus would win easily but snake doesn't do that and would hide and do some gay move. trust me, marcus would give snake a royal ass whoppin if he ever got a hold of him but Snake would throw away his walker than let that hapen

Now, if any of you ever decided to read anything on the Chief's suit, you would realize that Marcus Fenix CANNOT cut through the suit with a chainsaw!The shield would stop or at the very least seriously slow down the revolutions and then the plating would stop it completely. Furthermore, you do realize the Chief would retaliate BEFORE Fenix could actually do any serious damage?! For Christ's sake, he has neural implants allowing him to send signals through his brain . HE CAN THINK THREE TIMES FASTER THAN FENIX. If you think Snake could do anything with his camo, think again. Master Chief has had enhance retinal growth allowing him to spot camouflage. Even if Snake ever got close to the Chief, what the hell would he do? Break his neck? He'd probably lose an arm just trying! As for Samus, the Chief's suit is superior to her, and with other factors thrown in (the Chief having unbreakable bones, the ability to think faster, and having twice the muscle mass of any human of comparable size), Samus Aran is as good as pwnt. Now, with all this presented, I believe that there is no way anyone can debunk that fact that how old man, a convict, and some bounty hunter in a metal suit, CANNOT defeat the physically, mentally, and emotionally enhanced super soldier that is the Master Chief. I rest my case.

yea I think J-lin (number 20) is right when he says that Master chief can kick Samus, Snake and Marcus's ass. The same would go for any other video game character.
