Free case with official nintendo magazine UK! Nice for a freebie too, the case you have pictured can be bought here for 10 quid I think. Mine is white, with the nintendo logo silk screened in red on the front, with 2 elastic straps on the inside to hold the ds, takes my ds lite with gba sticking out no problem.

I have a case from a One Piece DS Lite accessory pack. It's pretty fantastic... except that it's just the right size for the DS Lite and doesn't seem to fit it well with any extra styluses or anything... you know, like the One Piece stylus that came in the very same accessory pack.
Oy.

Anyway, otherwise, I'm very pleased with the soft case, though I don't really use the belt clip part of it. I had a One Piece skin for my DS Phat, but I couldn't bring myself to cover up Thalia's (my Lite's name) sleek, white perfection. It's a nice compromise (of course, I also still have my Naruto stylus, Phoenix Wright stylus, both Pokemon styluses... I really like pimping out my DSes)

I have a fairly light padded slipcase for my lite, which happily holds the ds and a few spare games. It dosen't really protect teh ds more than stopping it getting scratched and some fairly light padding, but so far I haven't needed any more than that as I try and take care of it and not mistreat it.

The case itself I got as part of a promotion when I bought pokemon blue at electronics boutique (UK chain, long since turned into game) all those years ago - designed for the gameboy pocket, but fits the advance and dslite perfectly too, and why bother buying a new case when this one fits perfectly and does all I need it to do?

for now, i keep my Lite in the little paper sleeve, just like it came out of the box. i've used this clear plastic case that came with a buncha NFL team inserts (don't use the insert and it's clear), which was perfect because it only added a little bit of bulk and was very easy to play through. i think you can find them now with MLB inserts for about $15.

mine is very much like yours. it has the same white material with the ds logo on it. but instead of being zip opened at the side, it's open one end with a fold open flap with a clip. i think they're licenced nintendo ones. anyway, it's real good. has a slot for my ds, as well as a couple of other pouches that i use one for games, and the other for my microfiber cleaning cloth.

we're too similar.

I use a bootleg Aero case I got off Ebay. The elastic strap in it sucks, but it zips shut, holds my games, and is nicely padded. Not bad for $0.01 plus shipping from Hong Kong.

It was a little pricey, but it works great...very soft on the inside, holds six games and an extra stylus and has a zip pocket on the back for more games or miscellaneous.

It has 5 types of drapery. 4 kinds black and a white one. It carries my DS and 8 DS Games.
Everything is handmade from a good japanese friend of mine. She has written Nintendo on the front and my name on the back in japanese.

DSl is stuffed in pocket (by itself), games are stored in pockets in my wallet meant for the scads of credit cards most Americans are assumed to carry. And I used to keep my MMD somewhere also, but now that my ezflashV has showed up, it goes in the wallet, and the MMD goes into storage (or sale, if anyone wants it + the nopass + 1gb CF)

Unprotected!

I never understood the point of getting a nice sleek piece of electronics and putting it in a big, ugly case.

It's like those leather cell phone holsters. Sure your new RAZR is well-protected, but it's huge and looks like crap. You might as well get a brick phone and throw it out if you drop it.

I got the same white ALS case at E3 and it's been just fine for me. Even if I'd paid $5 for it at the stores I would've been happy with it. I did notice, however, that the case typically found in stores has the same exterior but contains a clear vinyl "playthrough" sleeve which really doesn't work as well as I thought. I prefer the E3 giveaway version with two elastic straps that can simply remain flattened and go unused.

Once my collection grew, I picked up a Penguin United game case that holds 24 cards. It's a good option for anyone who wants to lug around a large amount of games.

This is my case... something official from Nintendo. I saw it on a Podcast doing evaluations of cases. I am in love with the storage. It holds 9 games on the interior, in protective sleeves. It has another zipper pouch which I use for GBA games. It has a tinier pouch up above which I use for more DS games (along with some plastic cases that hold three games at a time). It has a slide in zippable pouch on the side for the DS (plenty of cushion). I am pretty sure it is for the DS Lite, as my DS is very snug in there. It has another unsecured pouch in the front. Which I use for my wife's DS. And it all buckles nicely in the front.

Here are some (blurry) pictures.

I have an old GBA case that works well, and some neoprene DS one that I picked up along the way, but generally I just throw it into my pocket and go, no protection.

However, I fear that I've busted something in it, because I've turned on the L=A option in Pokemon Diamond and the L button doesn't work for A. I don't know if my L button is busted or if something is just goofy there -- need to find a game to test it with where L definitely should have a visible response.

Mine's unprotected, just thrown in my messenger bag. It's already well protected, unlike the PSP. My games are kept in an eclipse mints case which holds 10 cartridges perfectly.

We have Electronics Boutique in america too. It's been abbrieviated to EBgames and has since been bought by Gamestop.
