Murder sim to Wendy's with Jack Thompson

Previously, we showed off Wendy's new Wii-based toys, part of their kid's meal and, as GamePolitics shows us, this is the last thing we would have seen coming. Turns out Jack Thompson doesn't like Wendy's working with Nintendo because Manhunt 2 will be distributed on the Wii console. Thompson says, "A dear friend of mine worked for Wendy's and with Dave Thomas closely for years. From that I know that Dave Thomas never would have tolerated the use of Wendy's good name to promote Nintendo's Wii, not with this game available on the Wii platform."Here's your six-degrees of murder simulation:
- Manhunt 2 is what Thompson calls a "murder simulator"
- Manhunt 2 will appear on the Wii (among other systems)
- Wendy's is promoting the Wii, therefore;
- Wendy's is promoting Manhunt 2, which promotes murder, and;
- Bacon is in the Wendy's burger
- Bacon is last name of actor Kevin Bacon (oops, forgot what we were doing here)

I wonder why he doesn't sue ABC, NBC, CBS and so forth for their airing of ads for violent video games. How about gaming publications like Ziff Davis and Future, or magazines like Maxim.

Alex, I sure hope you keep putting "murder simulator" in quotation marks like that purely for comedic effect.
I don't think it should be disputed that is in fact what Manhunt 2 is.

Kevin bacon was in a movie about underground giant worms trying to kill him and his town-buddies.
Worms is a popular pc series game depicting multi-weapons violence simulation between worms with human-like names.
Humans are victims of murder from time to time.

Im with mr thompson. My kids were watching sesame street and barney on TV and during the commercials I saw an add for a nintendo wii. I can have my children watching commercials that advertise products that support murder simulators. I also had to ban my kids from going to school because I found out my school purchased all their supplies from staples, and staples sells these murder simulators as well.
Im also shutting off my internet connection because it can be used to take these simulators online and create gangs (the kids reffer to them as clans). So yeah, Im packing my bags and we are moving to the mountains. Ill find a nice cave for us to live in where my children will be sheltered from all the murders

I always thought there was something wrong with that man. Call me crazy, but I admire what he's trying to do, just not in the fashion he is doing it. You can't sue a company for creative decisions, and it seems he's become fundamentalist in almost every way. He, it seems, hates any platform with violent games, and concidering every platform has violence in general, games in general.
I think he has a serious fault of logic and should read up on the constituition and civil right laws, which ironically for a lawyer he does not fully understand, before he goes and sues anybody.
If he does sue Wendy's, I will fall flat on my ass and laugh until my lungs start dying. Whatever, he is not a major threat to anybody because laws prevent that.

Kevin Bacon was in the movie "Beauty Shop." It was so horrendous it made me want to kill, even more than my nervous breakdown during "The Age of Innocence." Therefore it is a "murder simulator." Now I am feeling hungry for some Wendy's. OMG, Kevin Bacon is actually on a Hanes TV commercial right now! The TV is speaking to me! Must kill... blame it on Manhunt. Jack T. is an idiot. He is probably just commenting on any slightly game related piece of news he can because that Virginia Tech thing didnt work out the way he planned it.
This is such a horrible stretch, he is starting to sound like a comic book villain. There is nothing wrong with Manhunt 2 being a murder simulator, Im not going to buy it but there is nothing wrong with its existing. I just hope that Nintendo doesnt see this and start forbidding violent games from being on the Wii...that would be stupid.
I really hope he sues Wendy's over this. It will finally be the thing that shows the mainstream media that he is completely out of his mind, and is more dangerous to everyone then the games he is so afraid of.
