Forza demo news coming today

been waiting a while...hope it drops today, but I sincerely doubt it.

I wish I could play the demo but after downloading the new dashboard, my 360 started to smoke and I got the red ring of death. when I ejected my game the disc was scratched and also melted. this is my 7th 360 in 3 months!!!!!

@5 my 360 did that to but more crazy it smoked up and started to move on its own and ram itdelf against the wall till it exploded into little pieces

I wonder how many people just make up stories about their Xbox 360 failing. Mine failed on me but it was a faulty power outlet that killed it and my stereo...that'll teach me to move my 360 to a different room. Anyways...Forza 2 demo today...sweeeet!!

@8 that's nothing. my 6th 360 became posessed and tried to club me to death in my sleep by swinging the power brick at my head. I hate refurbs!

I changed my id from a comcast.net address to a gmail one and it works great. I found this out from a MS Live Support Supervisor, but she did mention that it was for me to try at my own risk :)

funny.. seems like every other post these days is turning into a discussion of bricked 360s.. i also joined the right lights club a few weeks ago.. waiting on my 2nd replacement (first one sounded like a blender)

Now seriously, I need an Elite...NOW!! There's just too much cool stuff coming down the pipeline. I'm not an early adopter of the 360 until I saw the Elite.

I've been watching and I'm going to be broke for a long time once I get my Elite.

Honestly, though can someone help me find an Elite, preferably at GameStop so I can trade in my Xbox and games for credit. I've called every single store everyday since launch in NYC and can't find one. HELP!!!

too bad you dont live in georgia #15. every store i go to has plenty of elites just sitting there. guess people up there are ignorant enough to waste money on an elite just for hdmi and a bigger hard drive when its just as easy to just get the hard drive. you cant tell much of a difference in component and hdmi unless you have a tv that costs like $5000 plus. not to mention taking a chance on getting the ring of death on a more expensive 360. it just isnt worth it. had mine since launch day and dont plan on it goin anywhere. i may get the 120 gb hard drive but thats about all.

agreed, I don't give a fuck if your 360 broke, i've had three and none of them have broken, I don't know any of my friends with a broken 360, and I haven't heard any stories of broken 360's except online... Now where is my forza 2 demo, if it is as awesome as it looks i'll be looking to preorder right after I play

Got my Elite! I have to go down to Maryland to get it though. A Circuit City in my hometown had one in the store. I ordered it online and since they hold can hold it up to 14 days I can pick it up when I go down to visit Mom for Mom's day! Mom and me playing Guitar Hero II for Mother's Day brings a tear to my eye.

Most of the people with "bricked" Xbox 360's are just Sony fanboys out to be douchebags. Before the red ring of light, it was scratched disks, and neither problem has ever happened to me (and my launch 360) nor any of my friends (4 or 5) that have Xbox 360's. 0 out of 6 is a fairly good statistic for how reliable the Xbox 360 really is. You'd be hard pressed to find someone that isn't on the internet bullshitting, with a bricked 360.

Oh and it's now midnight eastern time, and no forza demo. Come on Microsoft...we're waiting.
