NES + PDA x CELL = OMG!
First you could turn your NES into a cell phone, and now you can go the other direction. Talk all you want about your precious Bejeweled, but if you were to hand us a cell phone that had a gamepad and a Nintendo Entertainment System emulator built into it, we'd pretty much follow you anywhere. If you live in or near Taiwan, you can get yourself a Century Sutra 1688 smartphone that runs both Windows Mobile, and Super Mario Bros. Sure it's a bit unwieldy, but if you'd told us back in 1985 that we could carry this around in our pocket one day, we'd have called you crazy. Bring it on.

Um, I had a perfectly good emulator on my Verizon Samsung SCH-i600 3 years ago...

Um, did it come with it installed? And with a gamepad? Um, no? Darn.

wouldn't this be illegal? downloading emulators on your phone.
*sighs*, Joystiq, I hope you aren't actually saying this as a good thing. :)

"First you could turn your NES into a cell phone..."
I believe you mean "NES Controller," and not simply "NES," Kevin.
Kevin Kelly @ May 9th 2007 8:37PM
Actually, I mean the whole NES. Because we all know that would be a convenient phone to carry arround.

dude... it has 6 buttons! I certainly hope you can run an snes emulator on it too, SFII mobile o yeah. The roms in the screenshot looked like they had been produced with goodrom too... amazing for a retail product eh?

They ought to make something like that where the controllers flip out like wings from the side.
Damn, I'm smart.

"Um, did it come with it installed? And with a gamepad? Um, no? Darn."
Took mere seconds to install. If you can figure out how to turn on the phone you're probably smart enough to install an app. Who the hell is going to carry around a gamepad to use with their phone? Might as well carry around a DS or PSP. Congratulations on arguing just to argue.

My phone plays gameboy (color), nes, snes, genesis....this ain't news.

#8 - I'd carry a gamepad around. Why not? Playing games with cell phone controls sux0rz bigtime. Plus, I'd carry a larger PSP or DS, why not a small gamepad?
