Rampart fortifies PSN this Thursday
The HD version of classic puzzle/action title Rampart will release on the PlayStation store May 10. This is keeping with Sony's announced titles and follows last week's release of Gauntlet II. Rampart will play in 1080p and is expected to cost $4.99 USD.Rampart charged players with creating a fortification using Tetris-style blocks and then placing cannons inside to eliminate opponents. It's certainly surprising that this game never made it to XBLA, but we'll take it on the PSN at that low cost. Enjoy the fort-building and cannon-blasting goodness tomorrow.

I'll pass on gauntlet but this may get my $5. When is CAC coming though?

And EU players get NOTHING!
Thanks, Sony, you dicks.

So did CAC and Go! Puzzle both get pushed back yet again? CAC has been getting all the attention, but it keeps getting pushed back right along with CAC. I don't personally particularly care that Go! Puzzle gets pushed back, but my wife loves these downloadable puzzle games. I think we own every single puzzle game on XBLA.

I would buy this in a second if it was on XBLA

URGH CANT WAIT
Rampart is one of the best games ever. I came close to winning a Rampart arcade cabinet on ebay once but I was outbid at the last minute.

Man I remember playing Rampart on the NES, it is just about the most arbitrarily scored game of all time. One time I didn't have any cannons for like 3 turns and somehow managed to beat my friend.

Rampart was an excellent game! They need to make a modern version for the PC with online capability.

"playing in 1080p"
Watch the trailer. It may be "running" in 1080p but the pixels are the good old 200-somethingP from the NES-Genesis title.

Why are they using NES instead of SNES? And why on PS3 instead of VC?
