If this is a true expansion of Tales of the Sword then I'll go for it. Soul Calibur has a fantastic story but has been underutilized in the games so far. Here's hoping this game does the opposite and uses the Wiimote well too.

That and make Rock playable in a level or two.

obviously the wii is capable of stunning graphics. just look at zelda or the resident evil 4 wii-make for proof of that.

52 Wow, considering Twilight Princess and Resident Evil 4 were two examples of the ultimate power of the Cube, imagine the ultimate power of the Wii!

I think it's funny that so many people reference Soul Calibur on DC but no one mentions Soul Edge on the PSone. That is the game that got the whole franchise started, and while it might not be remembered for its stunning graphics (though animation and effects WERE dazzling in that game), there is no question that the fighting mechanics of the game were amazine. I've played all of the Soul Caliburs since and I've just never been as impressed with the fighting mechanics of the sequels as I was with Soul Edge. What made the game even better to me was that if a character lost his/her weapon, the hand/foot combat was incredibly strong as well. One could lose his/her weapon early in the fight, and if he/she was smart/patient enough, could still win the fight. It was even better when both characters lost their weapons and had to fight hand-to-hand. I wish someone would re-release that game on PSP or something.

Soul Calibur graphical peak was on xbox and I was just waiting for the new one with better graphics and they decided to bring it to the ps2. I liked the 3rd one the most.. even though a lot of technical aspects of the game got better.. the graphics were turned down a notch.. I'd love to see this game take advantage of the ps3 or xbox360.

the wii has more graphical power than the GC, and some games on the GC looked amazing. just because the wii can't play games with "incredibly life-like" graphics like the ps3 doesn't mean the graphics aren't good and that it cant make a vividly good looking game. i believe that this game will do very well, as long as controls dont suck balls and they include a one-on-one mode with a lot of playable characters from past games
