Well we never saw this coming. Sega has announced that it is publishing a game based on Happy Tree Friends. The game, entitled Happy Tree Friends: False Alarm, is set to arrive on the Xbox 360 via Xbox Live Arcade. If by chance you are unaware of Happy Tree Friends, it is perhaps one of the most deplorable things you can watch on the internet. It's also hilarious. The game is described as an action-puzzle game, in which the player takes control of ridiculously cute characters such as Flippy the bear, Lumpy the moose, and Handy the double amputee beaver carpenter (no, seriously). Specific details aren't given, though the press release mentions a "physics-based reactive environment" and "accidental mayhem." The game is being developed by Stainless Games and should be available this fall.
