As a matter of courtesy, we thought it best to inform you that Joystiq, hereafter referred to in pretentious third-person, is currently attending the Halo 3 (you know, "the most anticipated game release of all time") preview event being held in New York City, as well as the one being held in San Francisco. Joystiq will be documenting its observations in text and video format, most of which will likely be focused on the eradication of brightly-colored cyborgs.
Let Joystiq know if there are any crucial questions it should be posing to the important people mulling about the venue.

Ask them if they are going to inprove on the death match voice overs...I dont think people using racial slurs and swearing constantly really fits the sci-fi premise.
Then ask them if they redid the tea bag animation.

It's cool to hate on Halo, so let me lace up mah chucks, snort some drugs, kiss a few mens, and get t the mall, where I can go t Gamestop and make fun of Captain Chief, or whatever.

If you had a valid reason to hate on Halo2, then say it: Maybe you like the Unreal Engine better. Maybe Rainbow six is more your speed.
But face it... What other game sells comics of it self at 30$ after 3 years on the shelves?
The game is balanced, the maps are smart, and the story is pretty damn cool. (If you're into that sort of thing.)
Now, I'm not a huge fan of the GTA series, but I don't bomb every thread saying : LOL< LETS JUST KILL THINGS AND USE CODES SWEET.

It's the most anticipated game of the year 2007 on any platform, I'll give it that much. Please don't say something silly like MGS4 or Smash Bros can touch this game's heat, but it's certainly not the most anticipated game of all time.

2) What's the lunge (or lack thereof) like?
3) How's the weapon balance?
4) Which is better now: BR or Carbine?
5) Which is the best "go to gun" that's not like... psychotically powerful (e.g.: Spartan Laser)?

How many players for multiplayer on a single console? Can we do 4 to a box like Halo's 1 and 2? Or is it going to be crappy 2 to a box like Gears?

Heres a decent reason not to like Halo 2's single player. It seemed like they just made it so they could make another Halo and it doesn't seem like the storlyine was planned at all, but i'll give it that it's got good multiplayer and halo 1 was good. But I'm probably not gonna like Halo 3 at all for the single player.

It's already got 4 million pre-orders (not sure if that is only counting Gamestop/EBgames data, or not, could be more). So ofcourse there are going to be haters; Namely the people with a 600 dollar PS3 that has no good games yet. While I love my PSP (for all the quirky Japanese games) Sony's motto seems to be "Just wait till X game comes out, then you'll see!" this generation (PSP and PS3) and so we wait....and wait...and wait....until it's too late and we've wasted a boatload of time. I refuse to do that with the PS3, so I'm not buying one for another year or so (though I will rent one to play Ninja Gaiden Sigma). I'm still sorta sad I bought a wii, since the drought is in full swing and there is no hope on the horizon (till atleast november). And by November when smash bro's/mario galaxies comes out, I'm going to have no time to play either. Why? Halo 3! Grand Theft Auto 4! Unreal Tournament 2007! This is the worst possible time for a drought.

GTA3: San Andreas sold 14.88 million on the PS2 and 1.94 million on the XBox for a total of 16.82 million copies. Halo 2 sold 7.89 million copies. I'd say by those numbers alone GTA4 is more highly anticipated than Halo 3. GTA4 will also be on 2 systems meaning it has more potential customers (although 360 owners might prefer Halo 3 and PS3 owners might not exist yet). I'm not knocking the game here. I'm simply talking anticipation.
And why would they want to call it the most anticipated game release of all time? ALL TIME would include the future. They're basically telling you "You'll look forward to this game more than you'll look forward to Halo 4, because Halo 3 will be ruining the franchise and you won't want anymore... suckers."

Things I hate abotu Halo
The aim system (the slow aim in the center and quick aim/movement on the sides is so bad adjusting the sensitivity is rendered pointless)
Auto aim as a OPTION (I dunno I would like to turn it off and enjoy the game altho with the current aim systems thats impossible)
Button mapping(any FPS without it sucks)
Visual/projectile glitches H2 had so many its almost funny the elevator level is sloppy.
Don't get me wrong Halo is a fun game..on the computer...the console versions are so rough around the edges and short sighted when it comes to control I would to see the polish they put into the PC games for H3...wishful thinking since a more polished PC game will sale vista better.....
