They're going to have a hard time justifying the purchase of a game which is bundled free with windows, though I prefer minesweeper.

I know everyone was distracted by the price, but isn't there something interesting about a multiplayer version of SOLITAIRE, game named because you play it BY YOURSELF?

Just saying.

too bad they don't include the DOA Card decks. maybe for another 500 points more they might have that add on.

I understand that its pretty demanding to render a deck of cards in HD, but they've really jumped the shark w/ pricing.

I could draw you a card in a high def resolution (and have it look nice) in an hour or two.... this is just greedy.

My problem with this kind of crap is the Marketplace seems to only have enough "real estate" for one type of every game. Like Texas Hold'Em...where if you don't really like the game you're outta luck because there will probably never be another poker game. This will probably be the ONLY Solitaire game that gets released. There's no variety, no choices. If an effort is a dud, there will be no competition to get it right. It's like developers have to fight to the death to be the one winner that gets their poker, solitaire, chess, etc. game on XBLA.

Yeah, 400 would be a lot easier to swallow for a card game. It does look pretty good and I'm willing to bet it will do well, but I think I'm OK for now lol.

Damn experimental pricing. For $10 you could have "200 Card Games" on PC. Because placing something on a server in downloadable form costs virtually nothing compared to packaging the same product on a CD with boxart and putting it on store shelves, you'd think publishers would charge less. Sadly, the opposite is true, and I don't understand why. Is it the spammer mentality, perhaps? Offer this product to millions of people at almost no cost, and if just one or two people buy it, then it pays off?

Actually XBLA doesn't have just one of everything. Two arcade fighting games, Street Fighter II': Hyper Fighting and Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 says no to that. But in terms of games that are better played not on a console (or a PC) such as Solitare, Checkers, Chess, etc., who cares? This is an arcade, not a retirement home.

This is an April Fool's Joke a month late right? Right?

A game that comes free with Windows, not to mention has several different flavors on Pogo that can be played for free, and they want to charge $10?

Riiiiiight.

At 800 greedy, blood-sucking,leech points Microsoft has lost any chance of selling this product to me. I'm a sucker for HD backdrops and a spot of cards- but there is no way on earth that this product is worth more than 400 points maximum. Whoever the blood-sucking vampire corporate bitch who made the pricing decision on this product is should be publicly flogged. I would pay 800 points to watch this just punishment. I will not pay 800 points for solitaire.

How many solitaire variants does this have? It might be worth it if it has 10-20 different games..like klondike, spider, freecell, golf, etc...

The solitaire game on the iPod for $5 was worth it b/c of the 10 different game types....
