Why buy merch? it seems easy enough to just go out and find halo driftwood nowadays. :)

Why buy merch? Because merch is freaking sweet! I'm still rocking the Halo 2 special edition headset, and my Halo edition Xbox is sitting in the corner, happily chugging away with it's modchip. In other words, Mad Catz, give us some sexy faceplate love!

nothing like mad catz to cheapen the overall name of Halo.
this is upsetting, i don't think i have ever seen anything made by mad catz that was more fit for the garbage than actual use by anyone.

anyone but mad catz to do halo stuff. ANYONE.

nothing like a bit of mad catz to bring down the overall "uberness" that halo 3 will bring

all mad catz make is 'on the cheap' cosole gear, has any one seen there controls?, they are stupidly small, and dont even fit the headset into.

way to go microsoft, u have once again ofund a way to bring a gud product down

This sucks. Mad Catz is the worst company to make merchandise. We brought some GCN controllers a few years ago, and they all broke. I heard that the Mad Catz Xbox 360 HD Cables were defective, and needed a factory recall.

Mad Catz will fuck up everything, or your faceplate will probably just fall off while playing and you'll be like WTF!

-sighs- Since I might have a job and ill have money to waste ill buy it but.... Go buy like, one of those H3 faceplates from MS or something, but dont buy from MC.

Mad Catz? Gah. What's wrong with the Halo 3 faceplate that Microsoft put out late last year?

Come on guys, not even Mad Catz can fuck up a faceplate. It's a piece of plastic with Halo 3 logos painted on it. Where is there room for error? With the painting you say? Oh shit, nevermind then.

Speaking of completely off topic points, sum1 please mention the ridiculous inclusion of the "push to talk" feature. It's a huge problem that just annoyed the hell outta me in Halo 2.

Anyone else?

that was just for teamspeak instead of just locational speech, which was the default. I'm sure they will do something more like gears where it's location and teamspeak based.
I think this happened because the original xbox had the limitations on how many channels you could chat on.

/off topic convos.

I unno if X3F wants to do this but can u post about people who have access to the beta but refuse to play it.

I have to say guys I'm a huge fan of Halo but for the love of God I'm not sure if it would be better to wait to play it. I'm so confused!!! Is anyone waiting it out like me?

They should have given it to Pelican and put a sticker on the products saying Foehammer certified.

They missed a tricked with that one.

Plus I have a Mad-Catz PS2 memory card and it never missed a beat unlike my 4Gamers GameCube one which corrupted and lost all my saves.

This pretty much underlines what I think of Halo 3. It's a hype machine. Mass-marketed junk, if you ask me. It's aimed at people who will buy it based solely on the name. I bet some of you fanboys can't wait to get your hands on the Halo Intercooler ripoff, or the Halo faceplate, or the Halo headset, or the Halo condoms.

Give me a break. If a game needs this much merch, then it's probably not going to be very good and the companies involved are just trying to cash in before the reviews come rolling in. (A lot like Spider-Man 3 the movie. Lots of merch, lots of hype, disappointing movie.)

I'll stick to other titles unless Halo 3 really proves to be more than "shoot/hide/shoot/run/shoot/hide" all over again. I love me a first-person shooter, but I think Halo is a low-end representative compared to some of the other titles out there. Halo is all attitude.

CalabreZ -

I had in to the beta via Crackdown, but I traded it in. I have no desire to play the beta with a bunch of slobbering 'tards. I've preordered Halo 3, and I'll play with my friends once the game is good and ready.

Oh, and MadCatz sucks MadBallz. I'll never buy any more of the junk that they release.

I have only ever bought one quality product from mad cats and I absolutely refuse to support them as a company, considering the durability and usefulness of their product. (That being very low)

I don't think the rights to halo 3 merchandise production should fall in the hands of anyone except microsoft.
