Today's beatiest game video: Ouendan 2

too bad the demo is short. Are there any talks of a domestic release?

Is it just me or do the graphics look really great in this? And I really need to get the original Ouendan, or if I'm really desperate, Elite Beat Agents.

I think you meant art-style. yeah, it's very unique and awesome. the graphic itself is just 2D.

wtf, why does it say "Elite Beat Agents 2"? EBA 2 is going to be an entirely different game.

Yeah, people keep referring to Ouendan 2 as EBA2, which causes way more confusion that there should be. Elite Beat Agents is a DIFFERENT game than Ouendan, more a spin-off or another sequel than anything else. But either way, Ouendan 2 is NOT Elite Beat Agents 2. Right now there is NO Elite Beat Agents 2, other than speculation.

Anyway, that said... yeah, the video loks great. I can't wait for it to come out (the day after my birthday!)

Ironically, Ouendon featured pop music... just Japanese pop music. So the only real difference, musicwise, between the versions was the language. I was reallly hoping some DefTech would have made Ouendon 2 but oh well.

Incidently, EBA sold more than the original Ouendon... not saying EBA is better, because it isn't, but it did sell more. I liked Ouendon's preference to showing hardcore martial artists as cheerleaders instead of American Idol cheerleaders. It's just funnier when people are going through karate stances to root people on.

Ouendan had crazy good graphics when it came out and EBA improved upon that, so it wouldn't be hard to say that Ouendan 2 will look awesome. Not that it matters anyway.

So, yeah, I just had a few orgasms ever though this really didn't show anything. Hopefully, it'll be like Bemani and greatly increase the difficulty level over the last game.

I have both the original "Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan" and the American "Elite Beat Agents". The songs and stories are completely different, and it's well worth getting the Japanese version even if you have the American version already. I'll definately import Ouendan 2!

I've got this preordered.. I should get it around the 20th.. =D

I do hope the difficulty is increased over Ouendan at the Insane level !

how are the agent dancing on the bottom (the part you are tapping) 3D?

the art-work is beautiful, but it's nowhere near 3D, although the anime book theme works everywhere.

BTW, I think the reason it sold more is because there are MORE ENglish speaking people than Japanese speaking people in this world? Just a suggestion.

I thought the video would show the complete level... but at least we had a glimpse of what Ouendan 2 looks like :)

And I totally agree with Evan (#9). Ouendan and Elite Beat Agents are two different games, each one with its good and bad things.

you are an idiot... more people like pop songs than they do rock songs. that's the reason why EBA sold good, because they have songs that either give you nostalgia or are popular music to the general public.
