I'd take off Contact and put in Mario & Luigi: Partners In Time. And, I'd change Portrait of Ruin for Dawn of Sorrow.

Contact? Yoshi's Island? ADVANCED WARS? ANIMAL CROSSING!? Dear lord this list wasn't given much thought. Yeah, these games are all nice titles, but the DS has such more immersive, beautiful and overall just better games than these over-hyped main-steam *1st party* games (Not sure about Contact though).
But hey, one mans junk is another mans treasure, right? So I guess this will just be a clash of oppinions. *shrugs*

I have 5 of those. I don't like the ranking though. I feel like I have nothing to aspire to own yet.

Except for Elite Beat Agents, which isn't avaliable here. But I will have it. Soon.

> 1. New Super Mario Bros.

What you find in that stuff, people? Never could understand...

And first place?? For what??? Old timer platformer which looks exactly like it did 15(?) years ago????? And first place??????????

I'd personally put two games: Tetris DS and 42 Classics (or Clubhouse Games in US) DS. Meteos and Metroid would be after them.

Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow
Advance Wars: Dual Strike
Pokemon Diamond/Pearl
Meteos
Puzzle Quest
Trauma Centre: Under the Knife
Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan!
Bleach DS 2nd
Jump Ultimate Stars
Panel de Pon

Only one of these games were on that list, this is why it's made of fail.

Phoenix Wright needs to be 1. For sure. My favorite DS game, and in my top 10 favorite games of all time.(I think my top 10 is a 10-way tie)

It's hard to create a top ten list when I only own 14 games but mine would be...

EBA
Tetris DS
Trauma Center
Sonic Rush
Puzzle Quest
Phoenix Wright
Advance Wars
Mario Kart DS
Pokemon D/P
Hotel Dusk

The list should definitely include Ouendan and Pokémon. I'd also take Nintendogs out (boring!)

Honestly, you guys are very judgemental against the wrong games. Firstly, Yoshi's Island DS is a VERY good game. I still play it, and I haven't completed it 100% yet. I think you guys are just bashing it for it's music, because everything else about it is exceptional. Advance Wars: Dual Strikes is a good game too. Castlevania: Dawn Of Sorrow SHOULD have been up there as well. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney.... well, I haven't played it, but I've gotten very good hearings about it. All those games are good, and it's far too hard to make a list of these games. I would take Yoshi's Island as number 1, though, since it has kept me entertained for the longest time. Mario Kart would be second, and I guess one or the other Castlevania games would be 3 and 4. PokeMon Diamond/Pearl 5th, Advance Wars:Dual Strike, 6.

This is the reason why professional sites are unreliable. I always check GameSpot's opinion on games so I can criticize it. They aren't very good.

Personally I think Age of Empires: Age of Kings for the DS was easily one of my favorite games on the system.

Combining the flavor of historical figures/battles with the AOE formula on the DS platform has definitely been a highlight of the system IMHO.

I just wish they would make more with that engine (or of course an improved engine).

Alright, I understand that opinions are opinions, but this top 10 is a bit iffy.

Elite Beat Agents should be a default on anyone's top 10 list.

My two cents...(or should it be TEN cents?)

1- New Super Mario Bros.
2- Pokemon Diamond/Pearl
3- Metroid Prime Hunters
4- Elite Beat Agents
5- Castlevania Portrait of Ruin
6- Advance Wars Dual Strike
7- Nintendogs (any)
8- Brain Age
9- Mario Kart DS (c'mon, the multiplayer alone is worth the price...)
10- Final Fantasy III

Just my opinion, and we all know that opinions are like armpits and elbows...we've all got 'em and they all stink.

@ssuk:

Of course Advance Wars DS belongs on that list -- it is a great game. It's only problem is that it's whole retail life was spent before the DS Lite came out. Therefore, a lot of people just weren't exposed to it.

I'm a bit mystified that EBA isn't on the list -- I can understand Ouendan not being on the list, since it looks like the list is made up of games that are available worldwide. Hmm... maybe I just answered my question? At the very least, EBA and Ouedan could've shared a spot. :D

Re: Clubhouse Games, I think it is a great set of games -- but, really it's not very innovative. It's power, IMO, is that it has that typical Nintendo polish and the WiFi play. But, anybody could've put that set of games together -- there is nothing really creative about it.

5. New Super Mario Bros
6. Kirby Squeak Squad
7. Final Fantasy 3
8. Metroid Prime Hunters
9. Elite Beat Agents
10. Tetris DS

Bitch bitch bitch bitch bitch bitch bitch.

The list says that users of that site voted on them, so you can't really complain about their opinions.

You guys get too offended over nothing, i'd have fun with you in life.

Yoshi's Island felt like work. Seriously, I felt as though I should've received an hourly wage to play it.

At least $10.00 an hour.
