well, enough talking and more action then.

Nothing is worse than realizing a mistake and NOT do anything about it.

and frankly, I'm sick of buying old PS1 games on eBay and ripping it myself to my PSP

having said that, Chrono Cross is a sweeet game. :)

Holy Christ, what ISN'T coming out in the fall? People who want to buy the best system to play games with TODAY don't give a crap about Fall/Holidays 2007, Q1 2008... Otherwise, how about we let you guys mire in your own shit and we might buy in the Fall, and by then there'll be a price drop!

"UMD was 4 Gamez!"

welcome to the Internet Sony, the one format you can't try and compete with.

Take your time Jack. Almost all PSP users are hacking and ripping just fine without this service. Assuming Sony actually makes the service.

Yeah, a store is overdue, among other things. But that's a mighty long list, and an online store is near the bottom.

Just in time for the death of UMD. Great work Sony. Maybe they'll publish a Betamax catalog for the holidays.

@2,

so how long before Sony comes out with their own proprietary internet that can only be viewed on Sony products and accessed through Sony communication lines?

Oh Internet. Lately, our relationship has grown stale. I know what will happen at each given point. Where the the zest, the excitement of your younger years? The glimmer in your eyes has faded as more and more people use and abuse you. You've been broken, a shallow mirror image of your younger days. I want to help you but I don't know how.

@sheppy
If bashing the PSP is typical, maybe a lot of people just don't like it. Lamenting won't sway negative opinion.

You could always just get off the internet and go outside.

I want a PSP again. There's a bunch of games that are exactly my style, and I still have fond memories of Ridge Racer and Wipeout from before mine was stolen. But man, does it have a lot of stupid faults. I want it, it's just at the bottom of the list. Especially with the news of a possible new model floating around.

Wow, I comment on typical internet behavior and a typical response comes up. "Der, ummmmm, try going outside."

Yep, right into the rain. WHEEEEEEEE! Hypothermia is FUN!

Dude, seriously. If this is your rebuttal, so be it. I offer this, in return.

Common Internet bashes on game consoles.
-Nintendo is "teh kiddy"
-Wii is nothing but minigames
-Xbox live is nothing but racists 13 year olds
-PSP has no games
-PS3s break a lot
-Xbox 360s have a 100% breakdown rate

Do I really have to go on? Can you not see the moronic trends? I say you guys have become predictable and you respond with one of the most overused rebuttals ever. "Go outside." Why aren't you outside? It's raining here. Can't be raining everywhere.

That was sort of the point, man :)
And I'm taking online finals/avoiding taking online finals. I'm also sunburned. That's my excuse, anyway.

Shep, the internet is still wonderful in some places... It's just Joystiq that has gone downhill. The comments suck like Digg.

Sheppy, you should know by now that the disgruntled voices are usually the loudest

Very few people go to a "Red Ring of Death" thread anywhere with the intention of posting, "everything's cool here," rather, the people for whom the issue strikes hardest (the ones whose 360s have red ringed) will speak more often

You should also know about the power of hyperbole and overgeneralization to dominate the minds of the simple

And everyone knows Xbox Live is nothing but racist adolescents, what rock do you live under? =P
