It wasn't easy getting Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix on both Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network, according to Capcom's Sr. Director of Strategic Planning & Research Christian Svensson. "It requires considerable coordination," he said in an interview with Gamasutra, "but we've been working closely with Sony and Microsoft, and they both agree with our strategy."
In terms of price, Svensson said that they will likely be identical for both platforms. "We're offering the same value as far as the type of content, so it only stands to reason," he said. "If the timing's the same, and if the content is the same, pricing should probably be the same."
Svensson added that multplatform releases, even in the real of downloadable content, would be Capcom's primary focus, but that console-specific content might happen. "Are there exclusive content deals that could be struck? Possibly," he said.

Ugh. I wish companies would stop stretching and blurring and filtering the hell out of old game's graphics and claiming them as HD.

But they had a chart and everything explaining how many artists are needed to paint all those pixels and animations while keeping them true for the hardcore vets who know every pixel and frame. It's just too expensive to properly fill out HD.

you know, seriously. this HD era is killing me. im not sure if there going to have the original pixel perfect version on the download, but these smooth pixel characters look disgusting, looks blurring and distored. i always hated flash games, simply cause of that.
they never really felt like actual video games to me. 2d spirt with the little square boxes, that made up the characters body, thats true 2d goodness.
this smooth blurry crap is just ugly. when i looked at these pictures, they just look frigging ugly to me. they would of just atleast made the game look a bit like guilty gear or something.

This is, without a doubt, the greatest puzzle game ever made. This game RAISED me. I have it for PC, even, though there's no online play =(

Super Puzzle Fighter is an amazing game! I used to play this all the time in the arcade, and on Playstation, and on Dreamcast.

Ergh. Those characters DO look awful...the score and such is nice and sharp, but that's seriously ugly...

Trust me, keeping the pixles and such to their original size will look far worse then actually going to the trouble of reproducing it in HD, have you ever tried playing a PSX game on your PS3? yah not so nice looking in HD is it?

all you b*thcing about blurry, and y'all love yer blurry SNESes......i used ta complain about that when I was a genesis fanboy.......

if ya hate on it that bad, don't buy it. Sales tell corporates everything they want to know. Read: if you buy crap, retailers will sell crap, for premium prices too. Jonathan knows what's up, blurry beats jaggy/blocky.......

argh.. multiplatform games and now the potential for XBLA and PSN to have all the same games.. Soon it will be only first party XBLA/PSN titles will be unique to each console.. I'm all for sharing the love but if both machines have all the same games why even have 2 consoles available?? Capcom you are my favorite dev if you turn into an EA where every title will be on every system and all are junk then I will stop buying your games too..

It will not be priced the same because for the 360 version you'll have to pay the Xbox Live annual fee to play online, whereas the PS3 has free online play

I agree with a lot of the comments about this HD madness. I can understand HD for a lot of stuff, but for animated stuff, it seems really silly. Some of the stuff just doesn't warrant it. The only thing I care about is that it's in widescreen since I prefer that aspect. Still, I loved this game, so I know I'm gonna buy it. Well played MS, well played.
