Some sketchwork from LittleBigPlanet released this week revealed some of the more oddball and potentially copyright-infringing characters you might be able to create. Will our LBP buddy designs become as much of a craze as posting our Mii characters online?
Congratulations to Fanboys Online, celebrating their anniversary this week. Here are our picks for the week's best webcomics; be sure to vote for your favorite!

The footnote in the DA's final panel did it for me.

Just for the people who don't know, the Fanboys guest comic is done by Katie Tiedrich, aka Hail-NekoYasha.

Am I the only one who's sick of all the Raving Rabbids jokes? It was funny the first time. The second? Not as much.

Raving Rabbids jokes?
Either way, I thought Fanboys was brilliant this week. A lot of good ones but that one had me laughing out loud.

What is this best-computer-deals.net site that always comments on sites that Joystiq links? Has anyone noticed that the site is an exact copy of Joystiq except it doesn't list the authors for each blog post?

I thought we forged the NTF man.
10. Wow, The Wii dropped in sales by 48.14%!!!
NTF ASSEMBLE NOW! *he hits big bed button*
By your powers combined, and the eye of Thundera, I have the power! *emphasis on the word power*
Now let's form Nintentron and the blazing sword.

11. Oops, I meant NDF instead of NTF

12. No we are truly the Nintendo Task Force. Nintendo doesn't need defending rather we need a counter-offensive force tasked with errrr... revolutionizing news agai... I mean not allied with us.
I'm surprised all the Game Boys increased sales. I guess that Wii and DS were redirected for SPM and Pokemon D/P. That still doesn't explain the drops for Sony's unless the summer seasons were characteristically slow times for games.

13. Ok hvnlysoldr, you can lead the counter-offensive news task force thingy...
I'm more of a hands-on guy.
Me, Sheppy, Ken, Rubang B and Fernando are gonna Get our giant robotic lions to kick some ass, then form like a super-saiyan captain N by using our element-controlling rings. Then use our Nintendo-branded peripherals ninja-turtle style.

Little Katie's Guest Strip for Fanboys got my vote. She's very talented and should have her comics put on this voting list sometime.

It was a close one between Dueling Analogs and Extra Life. I really like how Scott drew the 'Microsoft dream-gamer', but the footnote at the final panel at Dueling Analogs is really the thing that makes him the winner.

It's easy to comment on how lame CAD and DA are in every single Wrapup. And rightly so. They're not particularly well-written or even visually interesting. But their greatest sin is just being unremarkable.
But how in the heck did a Mighty Vikings strip manage to get in this week? Really, Joystiq? We just have to make a horrible doodle in photoshop in the space of 2 minutes, then parrot a meme to get featured? Instead of putting in any real effort to make something funny and visually appealing in any way? All of those wasted nights TRYING...
I don't think they're looking hard enough for decent gaming webcomics. Need help?

There. Slime Culture TV. That's a better gaming parody webcomic than The Mighty Vikings. Too good? Here's some inane Canadian-Microsoft drivel:

Still not crappy enough to be in the Weekly Webcomic Wrapup? Well, there's always my comic:

Really, guys. There's an entire list of gaming webcomics categorized at The Webcomic List. I'm sure there's a better punchline in there than "DAAAA!". Putting in a comic like The Mighty Vikings but leaving out Awkward Zombie isn't just casually missing the mark. It's undermines the concepts and practice of artistic quality and presentation. It's only a stone's throw away from a bad Bob and George sprite comic clone with bright MSPaint two-toned backgrounds and jokes about xbox controllers being large. Is this the kind of crap that passes off for entertainment these days? Well, American Idol is still on the air, so ask a stupid question...
If you're going to list webcomics each week for us to vote on, I don't ask that they all be excellent. They can't all be, and I'm not asking them all to be winners. This poll should just be for fun. But is it so much to ask that Ross Miller not make claim that a turd is actually a brick of gold? Did anyone find that Mighty Vikings strip funny?
