The Stadium looks better than the players do, but I guess it's a 2k Sports game. 2K sport games look terrible. I thought, wait... 2K already made a baseball game, but then I watched these and it plays like Slugfest. I'm not into Baseball, (like anybody is...) but I might rent this. Online play will own i bet.

I'd prefer a realistic baseball game. That extreme stuff works better on basketball, football, and hockey games. The flame trail on the ball annoys the hell out of me for some reason, too. I'd still be interested in seeing the gameplay of a typical at-bat or inning, though.

As an avid baseball fan, I can say that 2K7 is much more appealing than this one is, but even that doesn't look to good. I have a Wii so I won't be getting either, but if I were to get a next gen baseball game it probably wouldn't be anything by 2K Sports

I like the Styleized look of the game at least... Otherwise, Take 2 hasn't put out a decent sports game, since they started putting out sports games.

Not that I care about sports games anyways... Just excited to potentially get a decent Baseball game on Wii, if in fact this game is decent, and isn't annother terribly underwhelming Wii port (pending on the fact the game itself could be underwhelming anyways...).

This does look pretty sweet. I'm really loving MLB 07: The Show, but I might have to pick this up too!

what exactly are you comparing 2k next sports games to (graphic wise)? the shit that's come from EA...madden and nba...or the terrible looking MLB 07 that probably looks worse than MLB 2k6...I don't even want that touching my PS3..of course 2k7 on PS3 really isn't much better due to frame rate...on 360 it's verrry niiice..except for the fielding which could use some tightening up

Most "hard core" gamers (post #1) shy away from baseball games becuase they never played sports when they were kids. They never were picked to play anything because their head was too big, shorts too short and their arms/legs were too skinny. This game should have been a game mode in 2k7 instead of an entire new game.

I played baseball, a little football, and even a little floor hockey in high school and I still can't get into playing video games sports. It's much more fun to play the actual flesh and blood game or watch the pros do it. Playing a sim just doesn't do anything for me...never has.

What a great way to help baseball get out of the steroid stigma!!! Over bulk up the players and have them do un-human feats.

it looks like a Gamefly rental to me. 4P online gameplay is cool.

i'm really hoping there's an online HR derby mode, that'd be fun.

I'm still waiting for any baseball game to be as good as MVP baseball 2005.

The Bigs was created by Blue Castle Games who is largely comprised of old programmers from the MVP baseball team. So, this is as close as you're going to get.

Wow, this is the first baseball game thats gotten me excited since MLB slugfest! Baseball by itself isnt that much to play (in a videogame) but making it all contact and dramatic makes it as awesome as football! Ill be buying this day one, especially since its online on the wii.

Arcade baseball should be quick, fun, and over dramatic. It should represent the ESPN Highlight reel on every play. Now, where I see that type of game fitting into nicely would be on the Wii. Motion controlled swings, pitches, dives, and throws would bring out a lot of emotion that these games try to portray.

On the other hand the 360's version of 2k7 is great for the baseball sim, but I believe another type of game needs to be explored.

The game I would love to see come to the DS or PSP would be a strategy reminicsent of Strat-O-Matic baseball back in the day.

But until then I'll be giving The Bigs on the Wii a shot. If it comes close to RBI and Ken Griffey Jr. Baseball on the Super NES then it will rock.

Hm. To patriotic and American for me. And you wonder why other countries don't like baseball?

Your rippling flag in the background sickens me.

Note that I have nothing against Americans, and I know many, many incredible people from the 'States. What bugs me is large corporations trying to sneak American patriotism into garbage products hoping it will sell more. Spiderman 3 was a joke like that.

Anyone seen any Wii screen grabs for this game?

I'm not too intererested in it, but it will be interesting to see how hard they push the Wii's graphics for this one.

I'm not a sports fan, by ANY means... but this game looks great!

I'll pick it up for the Wii if the controls work well, if not the 360 gets my money.

(First sports game I've ever picked up... since NBA Hangtime on the N64)

@Trace

Sorry the American Flag annoys you... In case you haven't been to an American baseball game (or other sport), the stadiums all have flags waving in them and they were not put there by game companies. I assure you, the Blue Jays will have a big, and equally annoying to you, Canadian flag with a massive Maple leaf on it. How tacky.

Anyway, this game looks interesting and I'll read a few reviews before a purchase. I'm hesitant of 2K after buying the Xbox 360 version and getting crashes like mad! The fact that they all look just like Mark McGwire before he retired (and BB now!), has me agreeing with Matt B as well! Hehehehe!

Just a thought for those complaining about the American flag. Blue Castle Games (the developer) is based in Vancouver, Canada. Just something to think about.
