Sweet Metroid Prime 3! Is Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: Trials and Tribulations the third game? And if so why no mention of it?

Looking forward to Metroid Prime. I'll probably have to go back to the Prime 2 in order to get caught up on the story. Hope some new media is released tomorrow. :D

Metroid Prime 3 is coming in augest. And Halo 3 in mid 2 near-end of Sectember.

I think there is nothin to counter Wii's FPS.

Even if there was it would have crappy controls conpared to MP3.

Interesting line-up; will keep an eye out for Prime, obviously, and a good chunk of those DS games. Hell, might even look into Madden if it improves on its last wii outing. *laughs*

Supposedly there's an SSBB announcement coming up in a couple of hours. We'll see what it brings up.

If it indeed does sell more, than in the eyes of the consumer, it usually DOES mean a better deal. That, coupled with the fact that Ninty's first party games are usually nothing but spectacular, means a positively low chance that they WOULDN'T make a good deal.

And PS3 + 360 dont have anything to counter against Wii's RTS[s].

Because RTS on PS3 + 360 are preaty unplayable because of controls.

Anyway, isn't that Nintendo press event thing today?
Do we know if we're expecting to hear some big news or will it be embargoed?

I'll give ya George of the Jungle, pinball, and bowling, but have you been paying attention to Space Station Tycoon at all? THAT looks to be a quality third-party offering.

Why do you guys hold Metroid in such high regard? Is it because its your only halfass good shooter owned by Nintendo? Yes, I played them and it was ok (the final boss battle was a bitch) but it was nothing to jump up and down for.

Also, Mass Effect will smash Metroid into the ground with gameplay and graphics.

PS2 and Xbox marketshare I attribute more to the quantity of quality games offered. Nintendo 1st party rehashes and no 3rd party support = ftl.

Isn't it funny how people use this argument/defense very selectivley, Does this mean than the ps2 was the crap console of the last generation because it sold more? No.

SOMETIMES more sales means a better quality product and SOMETIMES it simply reflects the popularity of something not so quality (eg britney/nsync/whoever).

You know, we've been hearing about how Wii would make the best FPS controls of all time for a while now. Hell, when I saw Wii, I tended to agree. Yet somewhere between Red Steel and Warioware, that arguement is blown to shit. You have a Wii, right? Where are you finding this super accurate controls? Let's just put it this way. In the arcade, at Police Trainer, I do frickin awesome. Can Shooter on Warioware? My shots are always a little off from their intended target. Metroid will do well just because it's not as aiming dependant as other FPS games out there, but don't kid yourself. You want FPSs with better controls on 360 and PS3? Call of Duty on 360 and Resistance on PS3. Note something? Both are launch games.

If you're going to buy into this "how it will work" mentality, remove yourself a bit and realize "how it should work" is often never "how it does work." I mean, hell. We have developers talking about the greatness of Sixaxis and what does that equate to? Shake the controller like a screaming child to power up Ryu's super attack.... great.

I'm willing to give you the benefit of the doubt except for one tiny tidbit. IT'S A FREAKIN TYCOON GAME! I can buy a four pack of the damn things on PC for $5. I don't care if the Wii's version introduces revolutionary controls (read: deeer controller functions as a mouse = INNOVATION), it's still a tycoon game.

MP3 is the one game I bought my Wii for. Everything else is unimportant.

Jack: If you call Metroid games "shooters" then I don't think you've been playing them right. It's about the exploration, not the shooting. It's a totally different experience than most FPS games. And comparing it to Mass Effect just shows your ignorance this thing we call a game's "genre".

I'm sorry I don't agree with buying a repackaged gamecube with a gimmick for a controller. I also don't care to play Metroid part 73, Zelda 44, and a million iterations using the Mario name to bilk me out of money for a mediocre game given the "Great" moniker simply b/c it is Mario. Have fun w/ ravin rabbids. MS/SONY's fall-winter lineup are each far greater than Nintendo's.

Cant you understand that I paid my money for a different console, thus the console I arbitrarily decided to purchase is automatically a better device than the one you own? I sure am glad that I love a hunk of plastic and wires so much that I can go and defend it with more fury than ever imagined.
