Halo 3 beta adds Banshee on Valhalla

Adding awesomeness to injury, you can also apparently fly the craft right out of the level, which is sure to always be entertaining to onlookers who hate playing first-person shooters. If we sound bitter about the Banshee, there's a perfectly good reason ... someone grabbed it before us.

Aww the memories... I love on Banshee maps as soon as the round starts people just make a mad dash for it and throw grenades at it if someone else is closer

The banshee is really fun at first...but its fun level wears off after a while and your bck to jsut using the ground with one of the other vehicles.
As much as its is supposed to have an advantage over the competition, I don't think its powerful enough.
Once Halo 2 gamers realized the "trick" to destroying it, theres was no point in getting in it because you would blow up right away.

Vallhalla is a great map with plenty of weapons and equipment to keep it interesting. Makes sense now as why they included the Missle Launchers which before seemed a bit out of place for this map.

Generally, I only use the banshee when I have the rockets. For all intents and purposes you become invincible.
Then, when I'm bored, I let someone vehicle jack me and blow them out of the sky.

Don't the rockets no longer lock-on? I don't believe that strategy works anymore. It's easy enough to grab a missle pod, though.

Shotguns tend to work well on Banshees in Halo PC.
