At the ongoing Ubidays event in Paris, Ubisoft has announced a console port of the first-person fantasy title, Dark Messiah of Might and Magic. The singular use of "console" should be emphasized, as the Xbox 360 will be the sole recipient of Arkane Studios' Source-powered adventure.
Eurogamer reports that Dark Messiah of Might and Magic: Elements will be the same as last year's PC version, with the exception of a clumsy subtitle and new content. Presumably, said content includes technical stability and a framerate that can be taken seriously. A release date has not yet been announced.

Knowing Ubisoft this will eventually be released on every console known to mankind, including the N-gage.

This game was one of the best I've ever played on a PC. It doesn't bother me that its not coming to PS3 because it would be an aweful control scheme on a controller. Save your money and get it cheaper on the PC.

Hope they fix all the bugs that were in the PC version.
The game was just mediocre, and ultimately is just a failed Oblivion wanna-be. Regardless if they could fix all the technical glitches it will be an improvement.

Failed Oblivion Wannabe?!? My god, man. Have you never heard of Heretic (the vein of gaming it actually WENT for)?
Actually, I payed no money for this game. My job had to buy some video cards for a trainer and it came with a stack of software. Among it was this game so they literally walked around all the cubicles handing out games. I love my job. I get to "play" on million dollar simulators and free software from time to time.

It's moste definitely not an "Oblivion wannabe" since it's not an RPG (although Oblivion does feel a lot like an RPG wannabe action/adventure game).
And the second patch made it perfectly playable. I actually think it's a very nice first person action game.

Officially on my radar now. I just went and looked at some videos from the pc version and was pretty impressed. The console version will probably be even better looking.

Sheppy!
"Simulators" meaning the military kind? Me too. I wonder if we work for the same monkeys.

See, when you say "at home on console," I'm in credulous since console it not normally where you find game halting bugs and horrible physics anomalies

It was too much of a resourse hog to play on my humble PC. A console port could be entertaining but I doubt it will be too exciting.

Another "console exclusive" for the 360.. Nice one..
I just hope the 360 doesn't turn into a dumping ground for old PC games that didn't do very well.

at least the 360 is GETTING games, pc ports or not.
which is hardly the same for the PS3 which appears to be losing more and more games with every passing month

What are you talking about, Jonathan? I see horrible physics anomalies on consoles all the time. The only reason I see less than on the PC is the fact that there is less physics in general on consoles.
