I bet this guy is 45 years old, lives with his mom, and is a gym teacher, or maybe a school bus driver. Playing Tecmo Bowl everynight has been a sad attempt to relive his glory days vicariously, which ended when the Chucky cheese birthday parties came to an end. I seriously doubt anyone could "beat" this person in Tecmo Bowl. Rock on.

What a loser! This is even worse than posting a comment on a blog about a guy who plays competitive Tecmo Bowl :D

OK so for $1000 he'll fly to you anywhere in the continental USA. Maybe I just don't know how to buy tickets, but the cheapest tickets I'm ever capable of buying are at least $300. Then there's the enormous airport parking fees of $9 a day, then there's the cost of the rental car/taxi, and then there's the hotel fees (I wouldn't want this guy crashing at my place). So even if this guy won he probably wouldn't really win that much. He'd have to schedule several games in the same location at roughly the same time in order to make this worth his time and I doubt many people are going to take him up on his bet. I doubt many people are obsessed about a 15 year old game like he is!
