Raving Rabbids 2 ravaging Nintendo systems exclusively

GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Last week, following some hinting in the Xbox 360 version of Rayman Raving Rabbids, we found out that the Rabbids were returning to the Wii and DS. This week, following an announcement at the Ubidays conference, we find out that's all they're returning to. Too bad it's still just a bunch of minigames.
In Rayman Raving Rabbids 2, the bunnies are out to rule our world. The Rabbids have set up an interdimensoinal gate in a shopping mall and are ready to take over the Earth. Rayman will stop them, blah, blah, blah -- just give us more bunnies screaming, "DAHHHHHHHHH!" There will be 60 minigames and there's sure to be more information at Min-E3 before the game's launch this fall. Now can we please, please, please get the Rabbids in a non-minigame setting? A classic platformer would do nicely -- or a Rabbid RTS. We're just looking forward to seeing more Rabbid commercials.

The first game blew huge Pace Picante monkey brain chunks. Its only getting a sequel because simple people needed to buy something alongside Twilight Princess. Here's your second serving of crap you pigs!

"please get the Rabbids in a non-minigame setting? A classic platformer would do nicely" - joystiq
"The Rayman property took a huge jump backwards with this DS platformer." - ds.ign.com

The rabbids would work in a platformer, if they were in a *good* platformer.
A good game made by the team that brought us "King Kong DS"? Hahaha, good fricking luck.
The GBA game was decent, just not enough use of the rabbids tbh.

Metal Gear jokes in a Ubisoft commercial... shady!

... er, "imo". God I'm messing up basic acronyms, what is wrong with me today?

#2:
IGN was saying that it was crap for a Rayman Platformer, not that it will always be. They didn't spend enough time on the DS version, sadly. I had high hopes that were crushed.
I really hoped that Raving Rabbids 2 would be an adventure game like all the rest of the Rayman games. I prefer games with some substance, something that Raving Rabbids failed at. I hope they make a REAL Rayman game again soon. 1, 2, and 3 were great fun.

Not totally surprising considering how underwhelming this was for the 360. The control was way too easy, and the games, save a few were unsatisfying.

For the record, it's DAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! not GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

I enjoyed the first one.
But ended up selling it for 20 bucks.
If the multiplayers good for this it could be a buy.

I'm really looking forward to more bunny-minigames, that might make me a simple pig, but at least I can enjoy games without having to bitch about what they could have been..
(remember the NES days? Before people could read other's opinions? *sigh* gamers were much happier back then)

WTF Ubi! First Haze going to the PS3 and now Rayman 2 going to Wii and even with the "tease" in the 360 version. Don't forget the 360 has provided you with some great $$$$ over the last year and a half before either of these consoles existed.. What are we not buying enough of your over-priced map packs, gamerpics and themes to keep your loyalty?
Oh well I guess we get a 10th version of Splinter Cell for the 360.. yuppie! (not)
zwarrior @ May 23rd 2007 8:11PM
Razer, I'd trade Rabbids for Splinter Cell, you guys (and PS3 owners) are the lucky ones, the closest FPS love from Ubi that we might get is Red Steel 2 unless they decide to be greedy and announce it for all platforms
Ken Seang @ May 23rd 2007 8:12PM
Im am surprise that they do not make a CGI movie about these rabbits already on the big screen.... The kids would go crazy!!!
eldee @ May 23rd 2007 9:15PM
@15: Who wouldn't? It would be awesome!
"DAAAAH" would be the new 'eric cartman' voice and "omg you killed kenny" in public schools everywhere :)
alienclay @ May 24th 2007 3:51PM
yes, that would be awesome.
hate to say it, but i would "consider" buying a wii for this game. i enjoyed the first one on ps2 and as i'm sure it didn't take all that much effort to make i'm a bit supprised it's not comming to 360, ps3, and p2 as i'm sure it helped to racke in a bit more cash. maybe it just wasn't enough overall as the other consoles had better games to be buying and better catering to the demographic last time.
yeah, and there's no way i'm going to chip the crust and dust off my wifes unloved DS to play this either. (we both prefer psp)
