I want to play a WWII game where you're a cybernetic ninja from the future named "Sigma Alpha Niner Tango." You would use your beam katana to cut a path of justice all for the glory of the Grendel. And then, bonus round, would be Woodstock....

haha.. great writeup, Justin. I enjoyed that immensely. I have to say, after playing through Call of Duty 2 on the 360, I felt no urge to play any of the plethora of other WW2 games being pumped out. That is, unless they can actually bring something new to the table.. The new brothers in arms actually looks like it could be decent

It's a related topic Shep, and the ratio has been on my mind lately. I also haven't seen it discussed anywhere else.

2007 - 70 = 1937 = before WW2. Picky, I know.

I've been disappointed in WW2 shooters ever since COD2. MOH:AA was an awesome gamme, especially since it replicated some of the most memorable scenes from the war (Omaha beach, anyone?), COD had similarly striking moments such as the crossing of the Volga. But subsequent games have just been normal shooters, with none of the cinematic grandeur that has defined the WW2 shooter genre.

It's not a related comment because it's on your mind. You can tell the difference because it's been deleted, and if it was related it wouldn't have been.

Justin, you're censoring threads for unrelated or flaming content now? I trust it's just your threads, or else you'd be spending half the day in the Sixaxis Rumble one. Well that's your call I guess...
PS - I'm tired of WW2 shooters. Do I get to stay? :)

I'm not disappointed my comment was erased (if the flamebait was erased, my comment would become flamebait). I'm disappointed nobody got my Sigma Alpha Niner Tango reference....

Well I was pretty psyched about this game but the latest video with the Charlie’s Angels look has put me off a bit. I will be happy to play the demo though and see how it turns out.

I like WWII games. They will keep making them as long as people keep buying them but take heart there are plenty of other games for people that don’t like WWII. Now turn based card battle games with whiney little children characters should just be banned forever.

zzzzz...

now, the commando bit might add a TINY bit of interest, if we didn't all know that the guy is gonna be a shallow stereotype with a dick-van-dyke accent. ANyway, how come there have been 11 billion WW2 games and none have had british characters???

On the other hand, the cyborg-ninja in WW2 idea sounds much more interesting.. very timesplitters..
