Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga to brick 360, PS3, Wii, DS
Nothing beats the satisfaction that arises from successfully assembling a Lego masterpiece out of a handful of meaningless blocks. LucasArts must be glowing with delight then, since they've just managed to construct a fully functional ATM by just clipping two of their pieces together. On the eve of the 30th anniversary of Star Wars, LucasArts has officially announced Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii and DS.
The game will be a combination of Lego Star Wars: The Video Game and last year's Lego Star Wars: TheGood Original Trilogy, with additional characters, enhanced levels and features tossed in by developer TT Games. The group promises to take "full advantage of the unique capabilities of all three next-generation consoles" (three?) and notes that the DS version is unique in being constructed from "the ground up." Brick your favorite console when Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga arrives this Fall.

Headline is misleading, I really thought the game was bricking the consoles. Stupid play on words.
megaStryke @ May 24th 2007 4:01PM
What? Where are the PS2 and PSP versions? How can you port the game to Wii without PS2 and PSP versions?
Konny @ May 24th 2007 4:06PM
What a stupid headline.
FrankTheCrank @ May 24th 2007 4:06PM
Darth Vader has the biggest set of teets in all of Hollywood. And Lucas has been milking them teets for a long time.
Milk'em dry Lucas, you've only got another 20 years left in ya.
techyted @ May 24th 2007 4:12PM
I sure hope they fix the Endor level(The Original Trilogy) that made my 360 freeze up a billion times. I was so frustrated, but somehow I finished the level and got 100% complete. Great game though.
Rubang B @ May 24th 2007 4:15PM
The Endor level sucked ass on the GameCube too.
I just hope they fully integrate the 2 games into one so I can switch back and forth between all 6 episodes as opposed to switching between 2 trilogies.

I'm wondering the same thing megaStryke, atleast we've got http://psp.ign.com/articles/732/732246p1.html
Rubang B @ May 24th 2007 4:23PM
Yeah it's pretty weird to not have PS2 and PSP versions considering both of them sell at least twice as much as the PS3.
Steve Kern @ May 24th 2007 6:35PM
dugg down for inaccurate headline.
daniel @ May 24th 2007 4:32PM
i own the 2nd on gamecube and i was sort of considering getting this as i dont have the 1st and now theres extra characters and enhanced levels im sold on it
skullivan @ May 24th 2007 4:41PM
Guys, the first 2 games were already available for PS2. What would be the point of releasing it?
The idea is to put the games out on systems they weren't already available for. No one is going to buy a PS2 collection of 2 games they already own.
BPM @ May 24th 2007 4:43PM
Glad I haven't bought the GameCube or PS2 versions yet.
dontstaylong @ May 24th 2007 5:32PM
the ds version was worse - so much of that game didn't work, when I emailed lucasarts they asked to send me the game and i could get it back on any other format. it's a shame because it could've been a great game if it weren't so full of bugs.
Dave Silva @ May 24th 2007 4:54PM
@10: The point? More sales. There's tons of folks that don't own the original games. Besides, Konami did it with Metal Gear 2 and 3, both were rereleased with bonus content and sold quite well.
Rubang B @ May 24th 2007 5:01PM
Ludwig thinks the Wii isn't TRUE NEXT-GEN. That's funny because it is.
Efren @ May 24th 2007 5:11PM
Sh*t what a terrible headline. I can't think of anyone who would read that and not think that the game was destroying consoles.
random @ May 24th 2007 5:45PM
Dumb headline given what bricking means for consoles/handhelds.
alienclay @ May 24th 2007 5:29PM
1. do my old game saves from the ps2 versions work on unlocking progress on the ps3 version?
2. will this come out in 1080p
3. if i may make a suggestion. both versions had camera issues. can remoteplay be used in the ps3 version in conjuntion with the psp to have two screens with cameras that won't interfear with both players controls. i love 2 player but man i hate chain death due to camera isues.
smjames23 @ May 24th 2007 5:34PM
This means another 1000 easy gamerscore for a game that already has 1000? How they gonna aproach that?
And Ludwig, I hate your postings. Your "creatful" way of using words actually sucks ("bricking" and ATM anology). Remember this in the podcasts too if you return to them. This is "constructful" criticism. :)
Ken Seang @ May 24th 2007 5:43PM
Hopefully they fix the DS version, because it was so horrible...
Doug @ May 24th 2007 5:49PM
I "got" the headline immediately upon first reading it. Although it is only mildly humorous, I can't understand why some of you are getting upset over it.
...oh, and Ludwig is great.
SiliconHero @ May 24th 2007 5:58PM
"Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga to brick 360..."
Ohh...I see what you did there...
Charles @ May 24th 2007 7:08PM
A re-release of something Star Wars with some new content? UNHEARD OF! On that note, I might actually get it because I only rented the first one and never played the second.
Yourself @ May 24th 2007 8:03PM
Why the italicized "three?" I mean, give the PS3 a break already, Ludwig. Just because not a single human being owns it, you can't just say it's not next-gen.
Jason Wishnov @ May 24th 2007 8:48PM
Ludwig, you're getting slammed, man.
Constant track record of hilarious posting? MEANINGLESS to one insignificant pun. How fickle they are...
ThatFuzzyBastard @ May 24th 2007 9:57PM
"the DS version is unique in being constructed from 'the ground up.'"
Translation: The DS version won't suck this time! Really! We promise!
mike @ May 24th 2007 10:19PM
"full advantage of the unique capabilities of all three next-generation consoles"
Does this mean they will actually add ONLINE CO-OP for the 360? Thats the ONLY reason I did not purchase the 360 one. Me and my friend want to play it, but its not online co-op so we both passed on the purchase. If this new one has it online, we will both buy it for sure.
alpha 6 @ Jun 4th 2007 1:49PM
Why don't they hav this game on PSP or PC? I'm a big fan of lego star war
alpha 6 @ Jun 4th 2007 1:52PM
Why don't they have this game on PSP and PC? I am a big fan of Lego Star War!!
Geraldine @ Jun 18th 2007 9:35PM
Yeah totally! I have the PS2 (I + II)versions, and the PSP LEGO SW. I would buy the saga just to have them all on my PSP.
C'mon LucasArts ! =) I'm buyin!
rah1 @ Jul 3rd 2007 6:46PM
i agree with alpha 6 on the PC ver. of the game. i would buy it because i cant (even with the addon option on lsw2 i have both) customise with full quallity (with is 1 thing i didnt like in lsw2). if this is only for the next-gen of game systems it wouldent b fair to ppl who wouldent or could afford the next-gen systems many, ppl would be p****ed i would be. think about it (if any 1 is a member of the lucas arts website i woulden t mind if itwas cut/pasted in a comment).
Brandon @ Jul 19th 2007 4:53PM
skullivan, you're right, but I have both games on Gamecube, but now I have a Wii, totally a different gameplaying experience
