I know what propaganda will finish PS3... Nintendo and Microsoft shoul announce that, for the nex systems, when HD will be more adopted, both companies will launch their systems with integrated HD DVD players.

Why would MS and Nintendo need to launch a secret anti-Sony propaganda campaign? Sony is doing a fantastic job by itself with its advertising campaign.

If you cant beat em, buy em. If you cant buy em, move in next to em.

Youre gonna like the view of our XBox sign outside your Nintendo windows, I guarantee it.

There already is an anti-Sony Microsoft/Nintendo propaghanda campaign going on...

Its called Wii60.

Oh and its by no means the fault of Microsoft and Nintendo. Sony actually created it themselves through bumbling PR, bad advertisements, and horrendous prices.

Oh Sony, your such a minx...

I can't wait for the cheesy webcomic in which you see the MS building depicted as the black suite from Spiderman 3, which creeps next door and takes over Nintendo, making their buiding a giant XBOX360ELITE.

"yeah and companies will support hd dvd instead of bluray, even retail stores, like wal mart"

You know, I remember hearing about that. And last week, a store clerk at Walmart reiterated that stance. So I had to point out that, on their own shelves, the number of avaialble BluRay releases outnumber HD-DVD 3 to 1.

So actually, Nintendo is already basically surrounded by MS property. The Nintendo office is a 5 minute walk from the Microsoft company store/visitor center. The xbox guys aren't there though; they're some miles away in a satellite campus.

I think there is too much over thinknig here. Just let Sony come out and talk about whatever bullshit they want and MS and Nintendo sells will soar through the moon. The roof is too small.

I'm surprised that Sony didn't bid on the land. Then they'd have an excuse for copying anything Nintendo does. "What's that you say, I saw THOSE guys doing it right next door!"

Have you guys ever been there? I used to walk by the area all the time when I worked at a nearby Radioshack, and Nintendo is basically in MS's back yard. MS built the Overlake Transit Center for Metro (the Seattle bus system) almost entirely to ferry their employees to and from work (it helps that they then got to run fiber over 520 via the bridge they built). NoA on the other hand is mostly in one normal sized building. This is hardly surprising. I wouldn't be surprised if in 50 years Nintendo is renting a floor or two in a building in Microsoft's Megalopolis, which by that point has seceded from Redmond and become Vistaville.

I have never been one of those "this isn't NEWS" idiots, but- cmon-if anyone knows the geography and makeup of redmond- they know it's hardly noteworthy that M$ is bidding on land. It just happens to be a 30 second walk closer to nintendo than before.

I think microsoft is gonna move in there and outfit all the employees with master chief suits. Then they will invade the Nintenbase with nades and rocket lauchers. Nintendo, in defence will hurl wii remotes back at them effectively breaking anything they hit.

It will be an all out war! MY GOD!

Everybody knows Steve Pool controls both Microsoft and Nintendo.

If you don't know who Steve Pool is, do a Google search.

Word.

This is news?

No conspiracy really. Nintendo built near Microsoft's campus, and Microsoft is always expanding. Nintendo is basically surrounded by Microsoft already, with not much room to expand, although they do own property that hasn't been developed.

Microsoft is simply looking for more room and would make an offer on the land no matter who the owner happens to be.

In response to several comments:

Nintendo actually has three buildings they use, among several other properties that they "don't use" and don't talk of. This is actually really old news, Nintendo has been in talks with Microsoft for years about selling that property. It is actually physically closer to M$FT's MSN campus, which it is right next to on the same block. Nintendo Software Technologies and a distribution warehouse is across the street in the same building as Digipen. The corner of that lot is a 7-Eleven! The meat of Nintendo is even further back.

It'd be a damn shame if anything got built there. It's a great place to play Frisbee on your lunch break. It would be a nice park.

And really, everyone knows that Steve Pool is God and therefore owns your soul and the entirety of everything. Sheesh.
