Sly Cooper coming to PS3 and PSP with connectivity
Two new Sly Coopers are coming out for the PSP and the PlayStation 3, PSM reports. The games will feature connectivity with one another and will be released simultaneously, but it is unknown just how that will work.Sly Cooper 4, the PS3 title, will be shown at the upcoming Min-E3. Concerning the console version, the developers said that "the graphics have been majorly overhauled and the gameplay will be more varied and focused this time around. We're aiming for a fully interactive 3D world, with no loads and seamless interaction between settings and characters."
The Sly Cooper series has always delivered a fun and satisfying experience, but unfortunately we think it's been stuck in the shadows of higher-profile Sony platform stars Ratchet, Clank, Jak and Daxter. Perhaps Sly can sneak his way into the spotlight this time.

Good news.
This was a great looking game on the PS2 and no doubt it will be even better on the PS3.

Your just as bad as the trolls that constantly diss the Wii, i dont like the ps3 myself i'm happy with my Wii60 combo. but why do the same thing you always complain about in the Nintendo comments, your a hypocrite dude.

The 369 could really use a game like this.
i bought a PS2 just for the Sly Cooper games. i enjoyed the first 2 and sold my PS2 before the third one was released. i think the 360 would benefit from such a awesome game franchise.
Fernando Rocker @ May 24th 2007 7:14PM
Hey... Im happy with mi Wii60 combo... I dont bash the Wii or the 360, just the PS3...
Triforceowner @ May 24th 2007 7:30PM
Wulkar, you mean platformers? Yeah, that is the 360's big-ass weak spot... Maybe Sony will hit that--No! I can't make a crab joke, not even after so many months of not making crab jokes!
HonorableThief @ May 24th 2007 8:34PM
I hope you're happy. I lost my voice I have been screaming so damn loud after hearing this.
Blizz4l9 @ May 24th 2007 8:42PM
well if your gonna bash then stop whining like a lil girl when someone bashes your systems.
Dig @ May 24th 2007 8:46PM
This is the reason I will buy a PS3.

"This is the reason I will buy a PS3."
For a mediocre platforming game? Wow you're easy. :)
Gamble20 @ May 24th 2007 10:04PM
No, I think he is going to buy a PS3 because of Home, LittleBigPlanet, Rachet and Clank, Free Online, Blu-Ray, and back to games Uncharted, Metal gear Solid, Final Fantasy 13, Socom, HAZE...
seriously the fanboy stuf needs to stop on here. All 3 consoles are pretty good I dont blame anyone for buying any of them

Why do XBots and Wiitards enter these kinds of topics anyways? It obviously won't matter on their systems anyway.
John @ May 24th 2007 10:17PM
I'm glad to see this coming to ps3. The Sly franchise was always artistic, fun, humorous, and well-programmed. The first one set the bar, but had some frame-rate issues, the 2nd one had none-- I still remember that level in blues where the background looked like Chinese paintings.
And the development of the characters was always really good, though I kinda lost it around 3... I think two was the best.
Yes, it's "just" a platform game. But the three big hitters for Sony have always been Ratchet and Clank, Jak and Daxter, and this guy.
I can't wait till it comes out. Now, if we can only get Naughty Dog to bring us another Jak...
Shockgamer @ May 24th 2007 10:49PM
Furries across the internet everywhere rejoice.
But seriously, I was never a Ratchet fan. I like Sly and Jak better, so this is good news for me. Now if only a new Jak game is made official, I could begin to justify $600...................
.....Not really.

Because you get as pissed as we do when you go into our topics.
That and you think you're clever by saying "xbots" and "wiitards". You're not. You just sound retarded.

Awesome! Sly was my favourite platformer on the PS2 (my PS1 favorite goes to Tail Concerto) and it's great to see the series live on.
I just hope Sony doesn't f*ck it up like every other platformer series they touch... They f*cked Spyro and Crash Bandicoot by passing them off to second rate developers. And they f*cked Jack and Daxter by trying to make it "Xtreme" and it lost all its charm.
Burnt Meatloaf @ May 25th 2007 6:00AM
OK, now I'm starting to want a PS3... for $400 or so. Pickpocketing is the best gaming move ever.
But... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell me they will now allow you to skip cut-scenes and replay individual levels without having to go through the whole game again. Sly Cooper was a terrific, creative, and well-written series on the PS2, but it has no replay value because of these two design flaws.
Kwipper @ May 25th 2007 10:31PM
I love Sly Cooper a lot more than Jak and Daxter and the Ratchet and Clank series. I think it's because he's an actual animal and that I like the style in the Sly Cooper games more than the style in Jak and Daxter/Ratchet and Clank games. However this is my personal opinion which I am expressing here.
Gabe @ May 25th 2007 3:34PM
Great my two favorite PS2 platformers are coming to the PS3, Ratchet and Clank and Sly! Can't wait for it.
