I've been waiting for Actraiser ever since it came out in Australia. Let's hope it comes out within the next few weeks.

I hadn't even considered the idea, but now I realize that it would be a genius use of the Wii remotes many capabilities. Pointing for the god mode. Waggling for some of the gods abilities (earthquake!). And with the power of the Wii, they could have Mode 8 graphics (next gen, baby!)

I'm going to laugh SO hard if a Wii Actraiser sequel is confirmed in the next week.

I loved ActRaiser for the SNES, I still play it on SNES.
when my Wii is finally delivered I'd be excited to get ActRaiser for it.
A sqquel in the same style of Actraiser 1 (not the second one) would be awesome.

act raiser is a tyte ass game and i've been waiting for it to come out on the virtual console. has anyone played act raiser 2? how was that?

Fatal Fury Special...ooh, I can't wait.

Actraiser 2 removed the god elements and just had the platformer action segments. It was also much harder. Have no idea what led them to remove half of what made the first Actraiser great.

ActRaiser is still one of my favourite games of all time with one of the most awesome soundtracks.

ActRaiser 2 as pointed out above removed the god half of the game and pretty much sucked balls...oh the humanity.

I have been wondering this for a while. I mean you have all of these old games coming back out and they were all pre-ESRB. I mean I went back and played Final Fantasy tactics (awesome if not sometimes way too unforgiving), and I noticed that they use profanity that you would only see in a Mature rated game. However, anyone who ever played the game would never put it there, I mean animted violence, and people that fall over and turn into crystals once dead doesn't scream Mature rating. This is going to be strange going back in time and looking at what we used to let six year old buy, but now scream foul.
BTW,yes Actraiser was amazing, I can still remember the first time I beat it on hard mode, you know after you complete the game and just go through all of the fighting sections with only a few lives and you don't hit as hard, yeah it sucked.

I think excessive profanities during Square's early PlayStation days was to vent out frustration from NOA's former highly-censored days.

Nowadays, Nintendo lets almost anything go by. Even BMX XXX was uncensored on GameCube (PS2 version was the only censored version; though, none of that changes it was an awful game).
