Shadowrun is on my purchase list! If i was better at sim racers I'd definitely get Forza, but I suck at sims :(

Now... Burnout 5 will be a must buy :D!

I'm getting Forza tomorrow at circuit city and ignoring Shadowrun.

I was a beta tester and didn't like the game too much.

For starters, I do not like games counterstrike like and the whole magic/tech thing makes a shooter more complicated than fun.

Not saying that without teamwork shadowrun is awful and the Xbox Live is not the place to find intelligent life anymore.

To put the nail in the coffin, I AM NOT PAYING 60 for a half game: No single player, you can't charge more than US$30 for it, sorry MSG and FASA, but enough milking with the HORRIBLE DLC policy that plagues Xbox live nowadays.

I'll be waiting for Dirt, which IMHO blows away Forza. I was also in the Shadowrun Beta and while interesting, it didn't have that certain something that Halo and Gears possess.

Up in the air about both. I like shooters and I like a good racing sim. Yeah, I may have to wait for IGN or X-Play results before I buy Shadowrun or a demo (before the games release would have been nice). Pretty much already know what'd I'd be getting myself into if I buy Forza.

Sahdowrun sucked in plain English, I beta tested it and I didn't think it was good at all....

Forza 2 definitely (DIRT may be better in my opinion also) now, which wheel to buy that is the question......

Played some Shadowrun at the Gamerscore Blog event here in Dallas. I wasn't impressed. It's CounterStrike and PDZ with some magic. And nobody played Forza at the event that I saw.

Multiplayer only for $60 = no buy for me.

I'm on the fence with Forza 2. I like it in theory but too often I get bored with 'simulation' racers after a while.

@T-boz, what does Forza have to do with Dirt? Different cars, different tracks, different styles of play entirely; not getting Forza 2 simply because you plan to get a strictly rally style game makes no sense to me... Do you tend to stick to only a single game per genre?

@ANt, stop the crazy talk. There's only one wheel worth considering for the 360. :) If you get any other the wheels you're asking for disappointment... except if you go the madcatz route, then you're begging for it.

@tony, it's worth every penny. I've had it for a month or two now, and cannot imagine playing racing games without it. One word of caution though; Force Feedback ONLY works with games that support it; I've tried using the wheel with a couple of games that did not support it, and it was a painful experience...

I agree with the sentiments of $60 for ShadowRun? What gives for half the game. The reason that Gears and Halo are amazing franchises is because of the story and pace that each title brilliantly executes (ho hum for Halo 2). I'm sure people will say WTF are you talking about at what I'm about to type here but I didn't particularly like Rainbow Six 3 or GRAW that much because to me, it was a mediocre story line. It's not a visceral experience. It's just ho hum. Now multiplayer-wise, the game is pretty damn good. At least they gave it a shot and made up a single player campaign.

Gosh, I wish someone was here explaining to me why I should buy it besides being another 360 FPS and playing against KbM players. Hell even the beta testers here on this thread say that it was boring.

ANt what we mean is not an epic story line with amazing plot twist but simply a good single player campaign that you can play when you dont have access to live or if you want to run through it with friends. Gears did have a very... interesting story line by the way, its just told in a very different way.

I am holding off on Shadowrun until I get to play the multiplayer demo. One of my friends is have a geekasm for it and one is loving halo and one wants his xbox back from microsoft and the other wants Tenchu.... I want to grab some of the games I missed like GRAW 2 and Lost Planet.

Forza is also a little too sim for me as well. I guess Halo 3 Beta is my game of the week... again.

@ANt,

I've got the official MS wheel, and am extremely happy with it. I've also got two friends who are also big enough racing game fans to require a wheels as well, and I've heard nothing but praise from them too.

The Logitech wheel I'll admit I've never tried; I've heard mostly good things about it... but personally I've never in my life been satisfied with the quality of 3rd party controllers. MadCatz wheel on the other hand I did have the misfortune of trying, and I'd suggest you get it only if you want to waste some money on a piece of crap shaped like a steering wheel.

Also, I'm not 100% sure how exactly the Force Feedback works on the Logitech Wheel, but it seems to be based off what would be rumble otherwise? In the case of the MS wheel, force feedback is a separate thing... The downside is games must specifically support the MS wheel's feedback, the upside is that it's pretty amazing with the games that do support it.

I hope Shadowrun is good, need something to tide me over until Mass Effect/Bioshock/Blue Dragon/Halo 3/GTA 4/ Unreal 3/ Lost Odyssey/ Splinter Cell Conviction, etc.

I'd get Forza, but I suck at realistic racing games. The online component looks sweet though.

no love for Monster Maddness?! I played the multi player at new york comic con in February and i thought it was quite delicious. Its too bad it is going to be over shadowed (no pun intended) by TWO Microsoft Game Studios releases.

Oh, and i'll be picking up shadowrun for sure as well. Hopefully these will get me through the summer once the Halo Beta ends and before Assassins Creed dropps. Its quite the gap at over 3 months. but we shall see.
