That looks fantastic! Im talking about the gameplay. If that video is any indication this one is going to go down as a classic just like the other 2 shock games.

To clarify, it looks excessively repetitive and unfun. The AI are always doing the same crap over and over, they don't look too smart or anything, either.

I have no idea what video you guys were watching, but that game looks amazing. Everything from the use of water in the environment to the the setting looks so fun. The characters look a little repetitive, but that's probably due to them being out of context in the montage.

Why the Wiimote sucks? It have the same exact accuracy of a PC mouse... I dont see why sucks. It have a lot of potential, specially for FPS.

Graphics don't make a game, that's all I have left to say.

And please let me know how AI performing the same 2 or 3 attacks over and over is a matter of context.

I can't wait for this game. I honestly can't see it being bad. I just need enough cash for a 360. Thankfully my wii is more than enough for now. (A 2 console man!!?!?! Unheard of!!! True gamers never experience the joys of all the consoles. Nope, its a one way road if you want to be the man and not suck "BAWLS")

It doesn't look like there is a lot of enemy variety based off that particular montage, but the Big Daddy looks great.

My ONLY gripe is the main character seems invincible. I hope the game play isnt repetitive.

WOW. I was interested before but after seeing that video I'm excited as hell.

People are bringing up the Wii because the guy swings a wrench in a scene. This game is built on atmosphere and environment as much as it is rpg, story, and gameplay elements. If it was ported to the Wii it would look like crap and suck. I'm sorry to say it, but the Wii will dominate in the types of games it is dominating in right now. It won't be the types of games that freak you out with their atmosphere and realism.

The Wii has its place in the gaming world, but games like this are not it. And how can you watch that montage and not want to at least try this game. It looks absolutely amazing. When I have this thing in 720p on my 50" TV with surround going I will probably crap myself at some point.

As far as gameplay goes, you really can't base that off of 7 minutes. It looks like you have a lot of options for how to approach different enemies depending on what you have and what you feel you can afford to use. This game looks to have a lot of survival elements. I really can't wait to play it.

And really, for those of you who don't think it looks fun. You must have missed the System Shock games. Don't let your fanboyism and waggle frenzy go to your head. This is clearly a sweet looking game. So are Mario and Metroid.

Hmm, well it looks pretty (as in, graphics card updatingly pretty) but the gameplay and AI looks very bland compared to what was previously described. What happened to setting enemies against each other, etc?

It looks outstanding, but it seems to be lacking in the gameplay factor. Will this be another graphically brilliant game that does down as a mediocre title? Probably. At least it'll appease the "OMGZGRAPHIX" crowd, which I hope no person on the planet is an exclusive member of.

The reason the Wii gets attacked is beacuse when you have what appears to obviously be a great game that contains an interesting setting, interesting characters, and apparently compelling gameplay which consists of more than just shooting enemies (even though combat is a major portion of the game) and they pretty much are blind to that, its obvious they are simply a fanboy spouting hate for the console they don't support.

Lets face it Mac users use to be the worst fanboys ever but its obvious the Nintendo faithful have replaced their idiocy and multiplied it times 10.

You think the people attacking the AI (which you can't really judge from a montage) are really anything other than Wii-huggers attempting to cling on to their console choice? Everyone knows that the Wii has weak processing and AI is one of the things that the Wii is often critisized for falling short in; so when someone attacks a game based on AI 99 percent chance that they are simply a nintendo drone attempting to belittle anything that doesn't let them shake their retarded arms around like a moron.

The WIimote is not the same as a PC mouse, the wiimote has an inherant lag and therefore is inherantly INFERIOR to the PC mouse. Sure Im sure that RTS games will benefit from the Wiimote even though the lag is painful, but games other than that are going to have to be dumbed down to conpensate for the controller.

The Wii doesn't deliver what nintendo lead us to believe and to continue to pretend it does despite experience with it is simply fanboy rhetoric.

This IS nintendos last generation of making hardware. Casual gamers wont buy enough software to support the console and Hardcore gamers will feel increasingly let down and alienated by the terrible controls. The only good thing to come from this is that Nintendo will finally realize they should just stick to software and stop constantly putting out inferrior crap. THe games nintendo makes would be better on another platform and if they really believe in waggle controls they can easily release a third party controller for any console. I'm betting nintendo knows the waggle controls suck though but are happy that the gimmik is paying off so far.

I'm also willing to bet that the Wii will be the console with the lowest attach rate ever by the time next gen rolls around. That of course just goes along with appealing to casual gamers and alienating the hardcore gamers.

I know NIntendo is being profitable but NIntendo is going to cut and run from the console business after this generation. If they dont its simply pride keeping them going and they will pay for it in the long run.

Am i the only one that thiks this game isn't running vert smooth? i was all pumped for it untill I saw this video. Elderscrolls struggles from that to and people still purchased it so im sure this game will still do well

Ok, it looks great. I admit that some of the gameplay mecanics are interesting. But little girls drinking dead bodies' blood? What's next? Babies getting raped and granmas eaten alive?

The Wiimote does have lag, move it around the screen turn it upside down, move the bat in Wii sports baseball it follows your motions it doesn't keep up. THe Wiimote has lag and your lying to yourself and everyone on this blog.

This game looks like crap. The graphics dont impress at all. The detail is the only thing the game has going for it. Look at the animation, it looks so crappy and fake. The particle effects during an explosion are crap, and those guns look and fire like crap. This game is going to flop so bad cause they are generating so much hype for it.

Does it even have a multiplayer mode? What do I do after I beat the game in 8 hours of mindless AI killing? Play with my special edition figurine? This game is just a waste of time. I dont even want to play it for free. I have never seen a game look more unfun.

This game certainly doesn't look like crap, it impresses graetly, and I can't wait for it. :D

This is why I got a 360 Elite. This game has impressed me EVERYTIME I see a trailer or gameplay related to it. It's a must have for me.

@mike, put down the crack pipe buddy, it'll be okay. I assume you've never played either System Shock game, and we'll let it slide for now. But needless to say, detail is HARDLY the only thing this game has going for it. If anything, detail is the least of what Bioshock has going for it. Read up on, or even play the old System Shock games, they're highly regarded as some of the more intelligent games to have been released. I realize it's popular to be a hater when a big game's on the way though... But don't stress, even if you check out System Shock and find that you like it, if you want, we can make sure that you'll still get a gold star next to your name in the hater column!

First off, a bit of tech info. According to someone who works at 2K and posts on the forums, this is running on a 360.

I wonder how many of you can still consider this the "spiritual successor" to the system shock games after what amounts to Quake 4 combat (Jesus, did you see how quick he reloads and switches weapons??) and Half-Life 2 style story progression? Granted, you can't tell much besides that the combat looks to be incredibly excessive. I find that alarming since this is supposed to be the "thinking man's shooter" instead of some Halo romp. This game smells of console first and foremost, PC gaming as an afterthought.

Oh, and apparently the Little Sisters are invulnerable now, too. Beating the shit out of people with wrenches and setting them on fire is okay, but if you do it to child-like creatures... IT'S TOO MUCH LOLOL!

It was over-hyped and it won't deliver (seriously, I had my hopes up after seeing the trailer, but it looks like some benchmarking (graphically) material more than anything.

And no, I don't own an Xbox 360 simply because I don't want my console to fucking die on me for absolutely no reason and at the worst possible time. I'm waiting for them to integrate 65nm chips and see if that fixes anything.

If not, screw it, I'm sticking with my good ol' PC platform. :V

And Shag you're a hater...pure and simple. Nintendo will continue to make great consoles and I will continue to buy them. I haven't been let down by Nintendo or the Wii since I bought it last year at Launch. The ONLY problem I have with Nintendo is that they're not utilizing the calendar as good as they could and the annoying Friend Codes bullshit. Plus they need to organize the current VC Channel stuff and start releasing new channels within the next few months.

Bottom line however is that the ps3 is the worst console of this generation and its clear that if ANYONE should be worried about getting out of the gaming industry its sony. Pushing BluRay onto consumers, the horrible commercials, the ridiculous statements made by sony execs, and the lack of decent games right now and the small trickle of even remotely interesting games in the future (and the only ones I'm talking about are FFXIII and MGS4). The 360 might also have a lot of other media attached to it but at least Microsoft has proven that games are first and foremost on their list.

Wow. Ok about 95% of that footage was unimpressive.

But then again, the 2 points that were impressive were:
- Electricity mixing with water to jump to other mobs/npcs
- catching a bomb thrown at you and hurling it back.

Then again those are the only two points i went "wow, thats new." The rest looked like Doom (the most recent one with the purdy graphics.) Let me say though i'm not a big fan of surivival fps, which is what this game is. I think the PC will always rule in terms of glossy fps titles with fear atmospheres, and all thats all the 360 is. A high end P.C. without as many options.

The AI needs to be up'd more; repetitive movements and they don't seem that challenging.

@JonnyBoy2U, actually... it doesn't. It's a myth, and a heavily debunked one that pot destroys brain-cells. Amusingly enough, a recently concluded study (2 years ago I think? you can google it I would imagine, or find it on the norml site) found that thc actually stimulates brain-cell growth. So.... mike's idiocy must come from somewhere else, because the pot is making him smarter. ;)

Umm your point Shag? If you read the whole thing (which you quoted) then you noticed I didn't say the game was PERFECT. It has problems you idiot. The Single Player mode is more of a hassle than exciting. I got the game for MULTIPLAYER and as a MP game its great. Thats MY opinion and I happen to believe its right. IGN is biased and they're a horrible website which I only go to for 3 things: Pictures, Trailers, and News. I read their reviews to just reconfirm how shitty they are.

As for you what with the use of "teh"? Can you not type correctly or something? And before you start ranting about how I'm a Nintendo fanboy I'll save you the trouble. I AM a Nintendo fanboy and I'm damn well proud of it. I'll always support Nintendo console and games. HOWEVER that doesn't mean I won't call Nintendo out when it screws up or when it does something I do NOT like. For example I'm angry about the Friends Codes system. I think Nintendo needs to utilize the Calendar and email functions of the Wii Menu more often and in an interesting fashion. While I love the VC and the concept of retro games Nintendo needs to ORGANIXE the channels and allow us to save the games in better format. At the very least we need to be able to play saved games OFF SD Cards. Last but not least the Miis need to be improved in terms of graphics and options.

Did you get all that? Nintendo is not perfect but its my favorite company when it comes to gaming and I'll ways support them. More recently I've gotten into Microsoft and the 360 and I'm falling in love with a lot of the games that are coming out in the next few months. I just purchased an Elite, Gears of War Limited Edition, and GRAW 2. Hopefully I won't be let down but I'm pretty confident they'll be excellent. So please save your bitching for another day. Plain and simply you're a hater. Feel free to hate though. It just makes me even feel more happy for Nintendo's success and it makes me even more confident that Wii will win.
