oh God, way too early! WHy do we have to suffer the stinkiness of this movie?

DO NOT BUY/Rent or even watch the trailer. Your time is better spent even just to stare at the ceiling.

As a fan of the DOA series, I imported this movie almost a year ago and I have only 3 words for it, Worst Movie Ever. Well maybe not the worst, but it's definatly a tie between this and the Catwoman movie.

You know I never thought it was possible, but watching that trailer actually made the movie seem WORSE then I originally though. Considering the fact that I thought the movie would be terrible in the first place, that's a really bad thing.

I saw this a LONG time ago... whats the deal? Honestly this movie is bad enough to be very very funny. I suggest sitting down and watching this movie at least once with a group of friends.

The Transporter movies were never boring... they were awful, and awful + boring can be horrid. But this looks like one of those movies you can just laugh at because it's so over the top. And there will be no one in the theatre so you can crack jokes all you want, with some discretion. Plus don't you get a kick out of watching actresses careers take a nosedive? It's kind of sadistic!

What's with all the complaining? If you don't wanna watch it, DON'T. Personally, I think it looks fucking fantastic. I may see it in theaters.

The movie's been out on DVD in the UK for a while. I like Holly Valance a lot, but that's not enough to subject myself to this.

I didn't think it was all that bad. At worst, you can watch hot babes kickin' ass. I don't see anything wrong with that. :)

That was very PAINFUL to watch....makes me think, if crap like that can be given a budget and get a theater release....I need to go into the movie biz. If they can do it then ANYONE can!

I don't care what everyone else says, I'll catch Rise of the Silver Surfer and this movie at the matinee, and they will be great because I have no expectations of them being good. Unlike Spiderman 3 and PC:AWE, which were disappointments .

sad thing is, they happened to incorporate beach volleyball into it. but sadly, it was the worst part of the movie (and that's not saying much)

I have to admit I really Liked this moive.
I'm a huge DoA fanatic so I imported a copy in, and I've watched it at least 7 or 8 times now. And I still really like it.

DoA actually turned out to be a fairly good movie.
What really helped it was the fact that it didn't take itself to seriously. It has a small serious story to it but over all it's almost a fighting spoof movie.

I agree with Antipilor, sit down and watching this movie at least once with a group of friends. I did and we all really like the movie.

I would have loved to have seen a DoA movie that was based on the cut scenes from the DoA games But I have to admit a serious DoA film would never work as a live action movie. Their is just to many things that just don't work good in reality but works fine in a Anime/Vidoe game. maybe we'll see a Anime based on DoA some day, but thats the only real way I could see the True DoA story be told.

The Live Action movie is more or less a Spoof of Mortal Kombat but uses the DoA cast instead.

DoA to me is defiantly one of the better Video game based movies. But I also really enjoyed Super Mario Bros too.

I think the biggest problem with Videogame movies is people expect WAY to much out of them. People need to relies we will only get other peoples revisioning of the game, we'll never see a true "exactly" like the game movie.

Aw it's not that bad. I wouldn't pay pay money in the theater but for mindless, perhaps even vaguely amusing entertainment, it would do as a rental. I'd watch it and if it wasn't good, eh, I would survive.

I don't know what you are watching, but if anything, this game took itself WAY too seriously, to an point of being excessivly pretentious.

That trailer reminded me of mortal kombat. The first one. Its like they have the same writing, with a twist. Just seems like another video game fighting movie with lameness.

Seen this months ago. Wasn't that bad actually, quite entertaining for a B-movie.

The movie is Hilarious, they don't take themselves seriously for a second a good example of so bad its good films. I will see it again in theaters!

There was a pirated full-length version of the movie on Google video a couple months ago. I watched it during work and man did it suck. If I weren't getting paid while I was watching it I, well... wouldn't have watched it.

You know there's something wrong with a film if the UK get's it first unless it's a UK film (we have the occasional great film, Wallace and Gromit, Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead, etc).
I haven't actually seen it myself, but from what people have said I don't think I even want to see it.

Honestly, CapAmerica, you liked Super Mario Bros.? Really? Because Mortal Kombat would have been semi-acceptable, Silent Hill as well. But Super Mario was just atrocious. It was so bad it hurt, and I thought so when I first saw it at age 8.

Like someone mentioned above, would only be worth it if they get naked. But since they don't, I'll pass.

I agree with CapAmerica. I watched it with a group of friends and we all knew to expect a bad movie. It was a lot of fun and we got a lot of laughs out of it.

...I don't know what people are talking about, but the girl they found to play Kasumi "Ninja Princess" is NOT hot or cute. Would not hit that with a ten-foot pole.

Other details wrong from just the poster: "Tina: Pro fighter," "Christie: Master Thief," and Ayane looks awfully caucasian. The world of pro-wrestling must be truly harsh to teach people how to use swords.

To be fair, I don't think a DOA movie should have been attempted in the first place. Its story is shallow at best. I like it for what it is: CG anime-girls in a rock-paper scissors game whose breasts forge their own laws of physics.

I saw this movie. It's watchable with the sound off.

This was on Google video a while back, and I *still* have yet to receive my rebate check for the 90 minutes back I spent watching it.

Though granted I think they started to be on the right track with some things, but they just got *so much wrong* with so many other things, its absurd.

The ONLY redeemable part of this movie is the fact that the pirate who tries to hijack the boat at the beginning of the movie and subsequently gets his ass whupped is played by the actor who played Liu Kang in Mortal Kombat. Quite the role reversal, is it not?

LOL Somebody posted that the director "probably never even played the game". Like that would have made it a better movie? It's a fun enough game, for a fighting game, but it has a story probably weaker than the film will (and that's WEAK). Just because I enjoy a game doesn't mean it will be even CLOSE to being a good movie and if I like a movie it won't mean it's going to be a good game. Uncreative schmucks out there.

Coincidentally, I bought the DOA movie on DVD in the 5 for £30 offer at Virgin Megastores yesterday.

Got it home and my fianceé said... "oooh, I've wanted to see this!"

I've said it before, guys: go see this movie. You will laugh your rear end off, I promise. It came out here in Australia about a year ago, and I loved it. It's hysterically bad, and it knows it. It almost feels like a *parody* of bad video game movies. So combine that and the eye-candy (there's candy for the ladies too, not just the gents), and the surprisingly good fight choreography, and you've got yourself a very fun 90 minutes. Promise.

I agree with ssuk. If every other country besides the U.S. have gotten the movie since Sept(in theaters,) you know there is something wrong with the film. I mean, this isn't a Uk or Austrailian film, this is an american one and havin it delayed for 9 months sort of says that this movie is crap.

However, if you are one of those who likes to watch bad movies for the cheesiness it has, more power to you!
