Two new DS Lite colors ... for Japan

What, you didn't think we'd actually get a new DS Lite variant in the US, did you? If only. If only. On June 23rd, two new colors of DS Lite will be out of stock in Japan, to complement the five colors that are already consistently sold out. Silver is a whole new option for the DS Lite, and the sheer glossiness of these two new colors makes us wonder if we won't perhaps be seeing all new metallic spins of Ice Blue and Enamel Navy.

Call out your sales predictions for the week of the 23rd. We should institute some sort of pool or something for this one. We're stating a firm 400,000 -- a good week, but not the best ever. After all, once you have five or six Lites, is Metallic Rose (like Noble Pink, but shiny) really necessary? We do like shiny things ....

Why are they introducing two new product lines for DS Lite colours when that effort could have gone into producing more product lines for Wiis to roll off? 'cause the Wii is in higher demand and fewer units avalaible than the DSL right now.

I've been waiting for a silver DSL since I decided to jump the DS bandwagon! I'll probably wind up returning my brand new Black DS lite and importing that beauty, if I can find one, that is.
I am loving my Silver DSLite already. It's a DS dream come true.

I like the silver DSL, but do I really want it? Hell yes I do. Do i want to go through the trouble of buying one, then giving my old Black DSL to my brother for his birthday?

Nah, My Black DSL is scuffed up a little, wouldnt make good B-day gift.

But, seriously, I want the Silver DSL. I just dont have the money or actual NEED of a Silver DSL.

I'm perfectly happy with my Ice Blue, but that silver is indeed cool looking. In fact the girls should be proud to have the pink or rose colored ones, as they look good in their own right as well. I love the subdued color schemes they are picking. Not too flashy, but just enough color to keep ya interested and wanting more.

Japan, always Japan...as if US is never in need of better colors.

I do need an extra DS Lite, but is it worth it to spend at least $40 more just to get a different color?

Nintendo needs to bring Enamel Navy to the states, my Onyx is scuffed up now after I dropped it while running (it skidded about 10 feet...) and Enamel Navy would just pwn as a replacement, although honestly it's just a bunch of very minor scratches. Only problem is I can't dump this one on my little sister. If Navy did come out, I'd probably end up selling my Onyx to a friend who's been stealing it to play Mario Kart every day at school ever since I got it (for about the past month).
