hold the phone here, we're complaining because they released new themes for the 360's menu now?

the GAME CONTENT was free, so go cry elsewhere.

Right Fillerbunny. Don't buy the themes then. I can understand the comment but that can just add fuel to the flame wars. I did buy theme both, kida disapointed witht the dead Lost Planet ones.

It's becoming quite fashionable to complain about downloadable content prices. Even when free game content comes out, Joystiq finds something to be insulted about.

Awesome. I'm surprised they're releasing free content this late after release, but I can't say I'm disappointed.

#6, it is real easy to complain about it because it is never worth the money. Plus it is usually something that was free in the past.

New clothes? Who cares.

NEW WEAPONS. I'd micro-pain for that.

@8

I'm not saying that some complaints in the past have been deserved, but now we're talking about FREE GAME CONTENT and Joystiq is still complaining. It's like whenever downloadable content comes up, people just have to say something negative.

Joystiq is knocking the whole "let's celebrate our million dollar seller by charging people for themes!" They are not knocking the free downloadable content for the game.

I rented this POS last week. The imbecilic save system and the shoddy AI are game-breakingly awful. But new clothes... oh boy.

yep, just looks like they're knocking the themes, not the free clothes (yay). How about some free items? Like roller skates/ rollerblades for Frank or something(usable after a certain level). Not something useless like a suit.

"it is real easy to complain about it because it is never worth the money. Plus it is usually something that was free in the past."

When was that exactly? This is the first console that even allowed you to apply themes at all. Sticking up a wallpaper on my PSP is the only comparison... and I can put any photo I want as a background on the 360 anyway.

I don't buy any of these things. The pictures are all obstructed by all the text and images in the blades to begin with.

I guess we can get mad about that and rumored features that were never going to happen, though.

@13: You sir, have to be the only person I've seen bash Dead Rising. I don't see your point of view myself, because I love the game, but at least SOMEONE is bashing it.

Why don't they give us an update about the game save corruption that makes the game give a disc read error? Maybe I could start playing this again.

http://fyad.org/nek2

Apparently from what i've read all over the net,the game corrupts a save and then you get a disc read error at random parts in the game. I get it right at the menu regardless of what I pick off the menu and tried 3 copies of the game.

New clothes are cool in my book, I've been thinking about dusting this game off to play it again recently anyway.

As for the themes... why get worked up about it? with the exception of promotional themes for movies and deodorant, has there ever been a free theme on xbox live?

Good, always up for new free suits...
But the one I really want is a blue suit. With spiky hair. Maybe an "OBJECTION!" weapon, which knocks all the zombies down.

Come on, Capcom. Some kind of Frank Wright. I'll pay.

Shoddy AI?? They're zombies! *

*I've never played the game. It's just common sense.

@ #13:
sounds like you either aren't very good at video games, played the demo for 10 minutes, or didn't really play the game and are just bashing it.

it is the only game to offer a real challenge in difficulty that i've played in 10 years, i think the last challenge i had like that was playing MEGA MAN 2 without passwords.
