Pornography addicts, rejoice! No longer is your extensive collection of graphic pornography shackled to your 1.80 PS3, as the new 3.50 firmware for the PSP has upgraded the Remote Play feature to work over the internet. Now, anytime you're near a WiFi connection and the need for pornography (or, we guess, any other sort of movie) strikes, you can browse your PS3's hard drive and, you know, embrace your carnal urges.
Oh, and RSS Channel Guide has been added as a feature under RSS Channel. So, there's that too.

So what your saying is that everyone who owns a PSP uses this feature for pr0n?
Or are you saying that the new feature allows you to look at photos stored on your hard drive?
Not everyone is a sex deprived deviant moron.

Wanted to point out how smoothly the setup for this is. All you have to do is register the PSP with your PS3. Then you can just login from your PSP by using the email and password you have registered with your PSN account. You still have set your PS3 to remote play though.
No fiddling with ports or IPs on your router or anything. I thought that was pretty cool.

I keep seeing more and more reasons to buy a PSP. I'm just afraid my kids would smash it.

So you have to leave your PS3 on all the time?

Yes, leave your PS3 on at all times, even when you're away, so you can access videos. And fire up your 500 watt computer to stream videos through the power-hungry 360 and pipe it into your TV.
Waste as much electricity as you can, then in 15 years when it's as expensive as gas complain and say it's not your fault.

You would have to leave your PS3 on and in remote play when you want to access it.
For some strange reason the PS3 does not work when it's turned off.

@Josh,
I am guessing it would be able to 'wake up' a PS3 from standby via LAN like those on desktop PCs.

@15, yeah I mean as if the well reviewed BD playback, upscaling your DVD, PS1, and PS2 library to 1080p, free and constantly improving online features, connectivity with an equally fun, entertaining, and feature rich handheld, and good list of current and upcoming games coming out weren't enough!
I mean I'm glad I have an XBox with slight improved proc and memory, oh I mean Xbox 360, and I enjoy my Wii but the PS3 is a just a sickly slick and sexy piece of high end electronic equipment. My heart goes out to you broke bitches that cannot afford the elogance that is the PS3.

All those features mean very little without a library of good games to play. Currently, the PS3's software output is mediocre at best; the Wii is the same way. We'll start to see better games for both systems later in the year, but for now, the 360 has it all...

@20, yes you are right on that. Sigma will be cool, but I wish Lair were closer to release and in fact I continue to wonder just how cool that game will be, but overall I'm definitely just as excited about PS3's upcoming exclusive's (MGS, Lair, Ratch and Clank, Drake's Fortune, maybe Haze and KZ) as I am with the 360 (Halo, Blue Dragon) and the Wii (Metroid, Mario, Smash Bros) and I am really enjoying the hell out of the BD, Pirates and a Scanner Darkly looked incredible.

I love BD.
My collection is blossoming. I will never buy a dvd again.
Don't forget to use the blu-ray coupons that came with your PS3's guys, the movies have to be purchased by 6/30.

Hey Agathos,
I have a PS3 and, no, those things are not enough. Not even close. Sure it was great to watch Beerfest and Big Fish on Blu Ray but come on. And to bash the 360 really looks bad at this point. And at least the Wii had Zelda...

Back @ 25.
I can respect a difference in opinion, I had recently purchased a new 1080p TV that makes watching BD movies like Pirates, etc a whole different experience. I don't think Beerfest, or Taladegga Nights for that matter are going to blow your socks off but for me the PS3 just gets better and better.
I guess my question is, what do you want, at what point do people say, "okay it's expensive, and maybe it's not something I want, but those are some neat things it can do so yeah it's worth it"?
I mean, most any games from EA or Ubisoft or so on are going to be multiplatform, so you're looking at like 5-10 really good exclusives each console per year and honestly right now PS3 has the better "future" lineup (I'm not disputing currently available library, and I'm not ignoring that previous exclusives like DMC have gone multiplatform).
And if you read my posts you'll see that I'm not attacking the 360 or the Wii, I really enjoy both of them.

Hey Agathos,
Believe me, I have the right setup. 60" 1080p, Denon THX Ultra reciever, and Jamo 7.1 THX Ultra speaker set. I am looking forward to watching Pirates this weekend with uncompressed sound. I see what you're saying about the PS3 getting "better" but the bottom line is,it is all potential. I will probably be bitter until MGS4 hits becuase after all, it is a gaming machine and when you have all the systems as I do, the PS3 is definitely the least compelling as far as games are concerned right now.
