Tetris ice cubes put a little geek in your drinks
Instructables has just posted a detailed guide on how to craft your own set of trays suitable for making tetrimino ice cubes. You'll need some woodworking skillz and a good chunk of time, but the thought of plunking a T-block into a glass of shaken-not-stirred water makes our geekiness stand on end. Afterwards, why not store the trays on a set of Tetris shelves (or build your own), then kick back on the couch with your Mario and Luigi hat pillows?

Small note: A piece is called a "tetromino," not a "tetrimino."

A tetromino, also spelled tetramino or tetrimino, is a geometric shape composed of four squares, connected orthogonally. This is a particular type of polyomino, like dominoes and pentominoes are. The corresponding polycube, called a tetracube, is a geometric shape composed of four cubes connected orthogonally.
A popular use of tetrominoes is in the video game Tetris. However, the spelling of the word used by The Tetris Company differs slightly by replacing the first 'o' with an 'i' to make the word Tetrimino.

There's something very funny about this being posted by someone named "yawn".
