'Spy Hunter' movie to be helmed by Paul W.S. Anderson
Paul W.S. Anderson, who you might recognize from hit terrible movies like
Resident Evil, Soldier and
Event Horizon Aliens Vs. Predator, has been tapped to sit in the driver's seat of the
Spy Hunter movie, where he'll presumably get liquored up, spin out of control and careen into a bus full of orphans.
Variety also reports that Anderson's getting a rewrite of the script, based (loosely, we'd imagine) on the video game of the same name. In other news, there's a script so bad that
Paul W.S. Anderson won't direct it. There's no word on whether The Rock is still attached.
Oh, this just came in after we read that Anderson was a producer on the
Dead or Alive movie; it's an early review of
Spy Hunter from Joel Siegel. "The only thing I was
hunting for was the exit!" Oh Joel, you have the brain of an artist ... and the soul of a jester.
