Forza 2 isn't even a week old and players have already unleashed some killer custom paint jobs for their rides. A slick iPod theme, several anime-inspired cars along with South Park, Jack Sparrow, and a little game you might have heard of called Gears of War. Readers at Xbox 360 Fanboy have chimed in with their own works as well, proving once again that videogames don't kill brain cells, people kill brain cells.

I love to see this sort of thing come out of games. One of the reasons I'm buying Forza is to give a crappy Mazda 3 some real grunt and a slick paintjob!
Bring on Forza for Australia!

Wow, I'm very impressed with some of those works, I might buy a 360 just for this game.

That is fucking awesome. If Gt5 doesn't come out soon, I might have to pick this one up (I do hope they add a custom paint job feature to that game too)

That Okami paintjob is awesome incarnate. The Reggie/Wii is pretty hilarious.

Ya, it's a complicated process but it's awesome when you finish a car. Huge sense of achievement. Here's my Knights of Ni car if anyone wants to see it: http://picasaweb.google.com/generalgrey831/UntitledAlbum/photo#5071657319460335954

i have a feeling a pile of them are skinned and inserted by turn 10. i have GTA cars that i couldn't imagine being painted with the tools they give you, and there were multiples of the same car being sold under different gamertags for the first time.
as for my creation:

SYN - I made some pretty cool stuff my first time in the program. I suppose it might help if you have some sort of Adobe Illustrator experience because you're already thinking in terms of shapes. What's in Forza takes some playing with, but I don't know how any of it isn't possible. It just takes a LONG time.
In addition, you can save groups of shapes and apply them to any car. You can also save a full design and apply it to other cars you own of the same make. It's not like you make it once and it's gone... which definitely explains the multiples. I mean, if I made something cool and people paid a lot for it in the auction house, I'd milk that for all I could and sell several of them.
Hell, within the first several races you're given career cars that can be painted and sold (or even not painted at all) for some decent credits.
It's all entirely possible and I don't think there's a conspiracy lol.

Having the General Lee is cool and all, but kinda pointless if you can't get it airborne, don't you think?

That Geek Squad beetle is hilarious. I would drive off the road laughing if someone pulled up in that in an online race.

Let me get this straight:
do people important images to put on there or do people seriously spend hours creating the ipod girl/southpark characters, etc., etc.?

@Arturo
Yes people spend hours creating these its crazy what people do with shapes nubers and colors.
It took me like a half hour to make a decent looking Chicago Cubs car with their simple logo with a circle and a big C with small ubs inside of the c.

I made the mirthmobile out of a Lancia Delta. It is pretty funny, but only took me a few minutes. I just painted it light blue and put some yellow and red flames on it.

omfg wow...now i understand. *bows down to amazing ppl*
so can u paint cool cars and sell them to buy some of the higher end cars? i would hope so to just go buy a super nice car performance car instead of having all the credits from paintings but still have to take even more time to go through and unlock them would drive me crazy!

Presumedly there is an approval process before these appear online in any form, or are available for auction? Since I would have to assume the vast majority would be, um, in questionable taste?

how do you import an image/gamer pics onto the car?
there are several cars that it is obvious people imported an image rather than spend hours making it... how is it done? anyone know?
