Sigh, I don't need anymore of a reason to stay on my DS!!

All I need to see is: Survival Horror, and it's a purchase for me.

I'm such a sucker.

Is this what fuels your existence, Ludwig? Torturing droves of internet slaves? Not that it isn't a noble pursuit, I'm just asking.

Are we sure this game isn't being graphically dumbed down for the DS because the number of DS owners is mushrooming?

That looks like shit.

I have a feeling that you'll see a lot of people talking this up like, "Oh, this oughtta shut those people up that say there are no M-rated games on the DS!" and then they'll just never buy it.

People like the concept of it there, but they aren't going to actualy spend money on this cheesy garbage.

Oooh... A psychiatric ward... Oh no, there's mentally disturbing images inside...

Adamantium is the type of metal used in Wolverine's skeleton (I had to look that up, as I'm not quite white and nerdy enough to have known it before hand).

Still, I guess it sounds similar to Dementium...

Ludwig still deserves PUNishment for this, though...

The graphics do look relatively good.

But,

I don't get the pun.

let's hope it keeps the powerhouse graphics like those we saw on "Touch of the death" and it's all set. :)

I haven't played anything published by gamecock yet but I already like them because they are taking steps to get new and interesting games out on the market. I hope the stuff is good.

Indeed, we won't be satisfied unless we cry out for Wolverine's help every time we see a Dementium skeleton.

and this is why i've been reading joystiq more than kotaku lately

Looks better than what the N64 could even try to produce and I've been looking for a more mature game for the DS. So as long as it gets a 8 or better at IGN/Gamespot I'm buying it.

Every system could use some more survival horror, so this is good news. I just hope they don't overdo it with the Nintendo DS gimmicks like Resident Evil: Deadly Silence did with the horrible, annoying, and not-at-all-like-the-rest-of-the-game surprise knife fights; if they just make a good solid survival horror game, count me in.

Shouldn't that "its'" be simply "its"?

I guess the problem with the DS is that it's insanely diverse user base makes it harder for "pure" console games to find an audience.

Ironically, the fact that there are so many mature people who own DSs has made it much LESS likely that pure action games will get released.. as most adults don't want to, and probably don't have the skills so, play FPS or RTS games.

In this sense, Brain Age and Nintendogs are the mature titles.. ones like this are actually for teenagers.

That said, I think the DS has a lot of untapped potential for FPS and RTS games. Yet we've seen only a couple of FPS and almost no RTS games. Its a shame.

Metroid looked great on the DS.. and frankly the low poly models don't matter on the tiny DS screen.
Personally I think they should port some more n64 games to the DS. Its a shame the Rare issue prevents them doing Goldeneye, Jet Force Gemini, Perfect Dark and Conker.. but Turok 1&2, Duke Nukem, Quake, Quake 2, Forsaken, etc.. would all play great on the DS. Not to mention Sin & Punishment, which would rock beyond all measure.

Part of me hopes that all of these Gamecock games just flat out fuckin' suck since, near as I can tell, no one has played anything at all released by them, but yet they're practically being hailed as the greatest game makers EVAR.

That's just the way my twisted little mind works sometimes, though.
