I'm thinking that it will be old Nintendo games coming to the XBLM. While it may seem unlikely it is possible considering that Geometry Wars is coming out for the Wii. Imagine playing super mario bros 3 on your 360! that would kick ass.

Honestly, considering the timing, I'm pretty positive it's something XBLA related... I am not getting my hopes up, but I hope it's at least as interesting as they claim.

Yep, it is a Halo 3 announcement - Tomorrow Microsoft will officially "unmask" Master Chief publicly, revealing his shocking identity...I do not want to ruin the surprise for anyone, but here's a hint: The name rhymes with "Barkus Weenix."

Portable Xbox. You gamertag (and achievements) will be transfer to the device via regular Memory Unit. You will also be able to migrate all of your purchased arcade games to the device. All new release will support achievements which work towards your gamerscore on Live.

Portable version of Halo 1 ready for a June 2008 release. This version of Halo had been in development for gizmondo and the DS. Xbox 1 titles will be downloable to play on either your 360 or the new portable device. Portable Xbox will use wifi (like to Zune) for multiplayer.

MS believes that taking out the PSP will be the final nail in the coffin for Sony.....

Mark my words.

There was a bunch of Xbox portable hype before the Zune announcement, so it seems possible that it relates to this.

I actually hope it is not related to a portable Xbox system because all of you PSP players look like douches.

It's more than likely got something to do with the things Bill Gates said about 'imagine if you could pick up your racket and play games with it' not a 'Wii Racket' either but a real racket, real guitar etc...

That's all very well but where do ya put the buttons etc.

Interesting!

@ 74,

Fallout would be cool.

Anyway, the more I think about it the more I think it will be something I don't care about. I figure if it was something highly wanted by the community (MGS4 or FF) Microsoft would hold out till E3 so that Peter Moore could put the announcment in tattoo form on his arm.

trying to stay awake for the fallout 3 trailer to hit. would be nice either way if it can to 360 whether bethesda is bought or nought. you guys seen the videos for the new vision computer? its like a table/computer that does some crazy stuff. look into it. might have some interface with 360/ videogames that would make history.

I work at one of the MS teams and I'm pretty sure the announcement is going to be about the 360 Motion. We're just about finalizing it and all the prototypes have gone out to the appropriate people. 360 Motion is bascially a full body motion sensor, or rather, 5 sensors working together to create full body motion sensing. You wear 1 on each hand, 2 behind the knees and 1 on the back of the neck. The devices are all wireless and create a full body map...The demo tomorrow will probably be of Madden which takes advantage of body motions; juking, stiff arming etc, etc...Device pic here:

Anoly - no offense to MS's work to make gaming more interactive, but that looks like a terrible idea, especially for people with hairy arms/necks... not to mention the fact that the primary issue with the camera is that I don't want to be jumping all over my living room playing games all the time, I want to kick back on my couch.

After doing a little digging, Blizzard is opening beta testers for a new game.

Could the WoW on 360 rumors become a reality? With cross platform gaming? Or maybe WoW2 on both platforms?

I think this would qualify for gaming history, as they could instantly steal the lives from millions more innocent people.

I heard from a Samsung rep at my job recently (consumer electronics) that MS has paired up with them to have a new 3D game mode on some Samsung tvs. This will allow 2 people wearing 3d glasses to see completely different images on the tv screen. 2 player games with no splitscreen? I'm in! I don't know if its true, but I've heard it from a couple reps. I haven't heard any official announcements yet, but could this be it?

WHAT A GIGANTIC DISAPPOINTMENT!

Today Microsoft Corp. and NAMCO BANDAI Games made video game history by unveiling the “Pac-Man Championship Edition” — featuring the first new Pac-Man mazes in more than 26 years — available only on the Xbox 360™.

The “Pac-Man Championship Edition” is the same beloved “Pac-Man” game played in arcades of the ’80s but is updated with new features that former “Pac-Man” fanatics and new generations of fans alike will love. It includes new mazes that dynamically change shape during gameplay, six new timed game modes, new soundtracks and high-definition (HD) graphics. Details include the following:
• Classic 2-D “Pac-Man” presentation with a new, modern look in HD
• Six new, timed game modes:
 The Championship Mode. This is the main game mode designed by NAMCO BANDAI Games and Iwatani specifically for the championship round of the Xbox 360 Pac-Man World Championship. This mode – as well as all others within the “Pac-Man Championship Edition” – features redesigned mazes with wide maze walls and a widescreen configuration to better enable high-speed game play. Timed limit of five minutes.
 Challenge Mode 1 (Patience and Reward Course). This mode is an evolution of the Championship Mode. Patience mazes strategically offer fewer Power Pellets and Reward mazes provide a large number of Power Pellets – providing unique challenges and rewards for the player. Timed limit of 10 minutes.
 Challenge Mode 2 (The Darkness Course). In this mode, only the area directly around Pac-Man and the Ghosts is visible and the maze walls are completely hidden. Timed limit of 10 minutes.
 Extra Mode 1 (The Freeway Course). An extremely high-speed mode for advanced players, this mode features warp-speed Pac-Man and Ghosts and plenty of tunnels. Timed limit of five minutes.
 Extra Mode 2 (The Manhattan Course). A mode inspired by the streets of Manhattan — the home for the first-ever Xbox 360 Pac-Man World Championship. Timed limit of five minutes.
 Extra Mode 3 (The Overall Course). A mix of all other modes resulting in extreme mazes for the most devout Pac-Man fans. Timed limit of 10 minutes.
• Xbox LIVE leaderboards, Achievements and Gamerscore
• Rated E for Everyone by the Entertainment Software Rating Board
• Costs 800 Microsoft® Points
