I'm psyched for this game. The first batch of pictures didn't really do much for me, but when the trailer hit, I could see that they were trying to push the Lara Croft/Far Cry thing in a true "next gen" direction. I think it'll be a system seller. I can imagine the TV commercials now.

Again, I keep hearing this site say it over and over again, but has MGS4 been confirmed for next year? I don't remember seeing an official source saying that. It's a sad state of blogging when high profile sites use EB/Gamestop estimated release dates as news. I understand there's a chance that it's been pushed back, but could you stop reporting it as such until it's been confirmed?

This blog provides good info, but sometimes the lack of professionalism is a little too jarring, even for blog standards.

It looked pretty promising. hope its not all visual and no gameplay/length. As games cost a lot more these days adventure type games are harder to swallow because of the length and replayability issues. Wasnt tomb raider legends like 5 hours to beat? The chick needs to look little more realistic.. she looks really fake and kinda scary looking

This might seem like a daft question but what does the 'holiday season' actually mean? Does it mean a November / December release? Is it worldwide or US? Of all the games due for release this year this is the one I want the most.

That would be nice

Have something unique and distinct on the plate for the holiday season

Lair might work, but that title seems a little uncertain at this time, and Heavenly Sword just feels like God of War redux, not a bad thing at all, but not very compelling, especially for those who don't have a PS3 yet

Hey take a look at the screenshots that go with the Kikizo article, specifically the ones on page three. See how they changed the hairstyle of your documentary-making potential love interest? Jesus, that looks terrible. She looks like a dude that just rolled out of bed and walked out of his trailer.

Let's hope that design's not final.

without any mention from any one here, cuz i'm sure nobody here really cared about the series to begin with, Uncharted is being made by the Naughty Dog the team that brought you Crash Bandicoot(the original PSX hotnesses not the new crap) and Jak and Daxter, which, if you actually played them, were amazingly well done on ps2 hardware with beautifully animated in-game cutscenes and awesome story-driven gameplay.

also of note, the jak games were also of a one-load for the whole area nature with some minor checkpoint loading hidden by an elevator ride or 2. the games were indeed not short, especially if you wanted to get everything so believe me, this game will not be a gears of war spurt of awe-inspiring gameplay. it will be a full-blown video game experience which will make full use of the gameplay aspects engineered for the story. for reference, jak 2 and jak 3 can take anywhere from 15-30 hours to complete and many, many more hours for hero mode and getting all the orbs and such...

Every game Naughty Dog makes turns to gold. seriously...

crash bandicoot (greatest hit)
crash bandicoot 2 (greatest hit)
crash bandicoot Warped (3)(greatest hit)
Crash Team Racing (greatest hit)

now on to ps2...

Jak and Daxter (greatest hit)
Jak II (greatest hit)
Jak III (great reviews, just short of greatest hit)

now on to PS3...

Uncharted: Drakes Fortune

and on and on

Naughty Dog is one of the best game developers ever, period. why should we expect anything less of greates hit status for Uncharted

Isn't Mass Effect an Xbox 360 exclusive?

The one thing I love about this game is Xbox 360 fanboys can't think of anything negative to say about it. It looks fantastic, has a killer story and has a solid variety of gameplay. I especially like the idea of using sixaxis to cross a log.

@13 massive-98

I noticed the same thing, too. Everytime they post infomation about Uncharted, the 360Fanboys are nowhere to be found. Huh, coincidence?

Thats because it's actually a good game. Unlike other games that like to talk about how the PS3 is capible of great games, this one actually shows it. The gameplay looks kinda like Prince of Persia meets FarCry, and the graphics, while not the best out there(AlanWake), are pretty damn good.
The only bad thing i can say about the footage from this game is that the ai is craptastic. However I fully expect this to be fixed in the final game. So as a 360 fanboy, I cant wait to play this game.

@16 BangBang...

It's okay man. You praised the game, so you're cool. And I didn't mean just read the site, I meant read and leave bashing comments. I go to the 360Fanboy site, too, as well as Joystiq. I like to see how people are in their natural surroundings, without tension between people with two different opinions about something.

The AI was alittle bad at aiming, but Drake had some really cool moves (this one video had him drop-kick someone, roll when landing, then continue shooting, all without skipping a beat.)

@Vincent060 & massive_98

I am one of those fabled Xbox360 fanboys (meaning I own a 360 and I love my Gears of War!), but let me just say, even though I don't yet own a PS3 and do not yet have any good reason to buy one, I will almost certainly go to the store the day this game comes out and buy a PS3 and the game together. So, take that for what you will: if even someone like *ME* is endorsing this game, you can pretty much call it a SYSTEM SELLER. This game carries a lot of weight even outside the PS3 community.

Ya like TOM said.

Same here, Im a Xbox 360 dude, more of a video game enthusiast. PS3 aint so shit hot right now as far as game selection goes, but when the games come so do the gamers.
