Today's best sfx video: Street Fighter 2 Dancer vs. Baby
This video illustrates how a good sound effects editor can really take something cringe-inducing and make it hilarious. Perfect integration of the sfx plus great timing on the slow motion really make this a gem.
And before you think we're all cruel and heartless, we definitely hope that baby is just fine. Please, no one mention this at all to Jack Thompson.

HotShotX @ Jun 5th 2007 12:44AM
Yeah, not paying full attention to your kid in a crowded area where an event is taking place is pure stupidity.

I saw this two days ago and I just looped the last 10 seconds, It brightened my day. Parents should watch their children better or not have them.

Haha. Wow.
You guys really are terrible people...
... with a great sense of humor.
kingofwale @ Jun 5th 2007 1:34AM
>You guys are slow on everything. Every bit of news you post (or even stuff like this) is older than the internet.
apparently you have no concept of what we call "timeless classics". or maybe you just don't have a sense of humour.
Tacoman @ Jun 5th 2007 1:34AM
It seems at every gathering like this, there's always some unattended child that gets too close. Hopefully this will be a lesson that kids need to back the fuck up. Also that the parent needs to put that bitch on a leash.

It's funny, and I love Street Fighter
But this video is a fake! Watch it again.
Funny tho I do admit.
Roxinos @ Jun 5th 2007 3:44AM
Hey leksinski, what makes you say it's a fake?
Bah, doesn't matter.
Funny stuff, this is. I was never really into Street Fighter, and I found this funny.
AlcoholicNinja @ Jun 5th 2007 4:01AM
Some sounds make you feel good..
Like a of a babbling brook or cloths drying..
Then you hear other sounds that just make you want to punch a baby. I think, he heard something in the music to make him just wanna drop kick that one.
*burning in hell* oh, it burns! rofl
BPM @ Jun 5th 2007 4:23AM

C. Grant @ Jun 5th 2007 8:31AM
Thanks for commenting bobby d., why don't ya stick around?
Andy @ Jun 5th 2007 9:15AM
Can someone post the far superior Gif animation where the break dancer is guile at the end telling the kid "are you man enough to break wit' me?"
Even has a life bar and flash kick effect.
Jason @ Jun 5th 2007 9:30AM
bobby d., we could use your voice in one of our daily flamewars. Won't you consider pledging your support to the SDF, NDF or MDF? Applications are on their way to you now... You must choose a side. FIGHT!
t_m @ Jun 5th 2007 9:36AM
who says modern culture is based on cruelty...
Zach @ Jun 5th 2007 9:53AM
Notice how the parents don't go for the kid until after he/she gets kicked in the face.
DarthDavid @ Jun 5th 2007 10:01AM
That kid got the Flash Kick from HELL!!!
Grant @ Jun 5th 2007 10:01AM
it takes alot for me to actually crack up, but that was definitly the ticket.
as for the kid, don't worry, they have flexible bones, and they heal fast.
CC @ Jun 5th 2007 10:47AM
OMG SO FUNNY HAHA
horngreen @ Jun 5th 2007 10:48AM
Why must we always blame? Shit happens people. I for one recall riding a ten speed when I was about 10 or 11. This bike was WAY too big for me and it showed. Anyway, while riding with my friends we passed the kid with the big ears who went to school. I seem to remember a few of us, not me of course, yelling something about "Dumbo" or looking like a car with it's doors open. Well I hit a small pothole and the handlebars turned 90 degrees sending my ass head first onto the pavement. That was one of three concussions I got as a kid and I blame nobody but karma for them. I'm just glad one of my concussions wasn't caused by an oily breakdancing loser!
Geo @ Jun 5th 2007 11:04AM
That really is exponentially funnier with the soundtrack.
GodisaMyth @ Jun 5th 2007 11:35AM
If or rather when Jackass Thompson gets wind of this he will somehow find a way to blame video games.
I can see it now:
The kid trained on Street Fighter and he was brainwashed into thinking that he could take on that adult. All the parents could do was helplessly watch as their brainwashed kid tried to show how far his training on the Street Fighter game made him strong.
That being said,
I really hope the kid is OK, as a parent it is hard for me to laugh at that even though the audio dubbing is spot on.
I do not understand what the frack the parents were doing....how could they just let their kid wander into something like that?
They more than likely have been watching several performers and I say that because they were up front in a big circle that had multiple rows of people.
If that were my kid, I would not have even set him down or if I were to I would squat like a catcher and hold onto him.
Stupid parents that do not have enough common sense to think that a performer that has that much momentum and speed going is NOT a good thing for a 1-2 year old.
Die Plumber die.
edog lost @ Jun 5th 2007 11:59AM
SO Good, I love it.
