From what I've seen of Assassin's Creed, I don't think a low-power version would work as well.

I think Assassin's Creed for DS could work. Ninja Gaiden is coming to DS, and it looks pretty sweet.

No it doesn't.

If a DS version A'sC is released I hope it is something totally different like a turn based strategy game or something.

@Jon - Lol.

Sorry - I just thought that response was priceless. "Ninja Gaiden for the DS looks good1" ... "No it doesn't." No explanation or complaints - just "no - sorry." Roflcopter- that was good for a quick chuckle. Thank you for brightening my day.

http://kotaku.com/gaming/assassin.s-creed/assassins-creed-ds-250645.php

welcome to two months ago.

and as for the other comments, GameStop was first to accidentally list RE4 Wii Edition the full title of Guitar Hero 2 Rock's The 80's Expansion before their respective publishers actually announced them.

I seriously encourage Joystiq to post more than A) fodder for gamestop-hatin' fanboys and B) stories I read one week/one month/several months ago on Kotaku.

It's an Ubi-Soft game. It will be out for the DS, PSP, Cell Phone, and whatever else they can make a quick buck off the name.

The Gamestop hating material is getting a tad bit stale.

The funniest thing about this late news is that it came from DS Fanboy. So this 2nd hand late news which makes it even better.

They wouldn't port it to the Wii because the Wii can't handle it. Why would they port it to the DS? It has bunches of new technologies that make it awesome. The DS can't do it. I call BS.

Yeah, this news is extremely old... And as much as I like the site, the overall biases are getting a tad annoying... Glowing love for anything Xbox360 related, or a shrug and an "Oh well" when there is something critical like the whole issue of the systems breaking down every couple of months.

But if you are Gamestop or Sony... Watch out, even if you do something right, or give out information early, you are evil and incompetent.
