Maybe people would have cared if they had this out before the craptacular reviews.

Shadowrun is incredible - it is SOOO much fun.

Funny because I never expected to like it and almost game up during the training missions. Now, I definitely have "the fever" because I can't set it down.

The magic & tech adds soooo much to the FPS experience. It's all very well balanced, too - one perfect giant game of paper-rock-scissors... Everything in the game trumps something else, and is in turn trumped by yet another thing.

I really recommend being open minded with this game - try it out, because otherwise you may be missing out on a TON of fun.

Weird that the community seems to rave about this game (the people who played it, that is) but the reviewers don't like it.

Maybe the demo is the only way to find out who's right and who's wrong?

The community is right - it's awesome.

In all fairness, it's hard to review an online-only game until after it's released. The reviewers were probably given pre-release versions and got owned by the testers.

Favorite move at the moment - use x-ray vision to see an enemy on the other side of a wall.. start the minigun spinning up... just when it's firing full bore, teleport through the wall and wreck havoc. So much fun!!

Microsoft needs to step up it's first party games, Sony is really pushing the graphics factor with their upcoming releases and so far everything I've seen from MS looks like Xbox1 graphics. Shadowrun could easily be mistaken for a Xbox1 game. I know graphics aren't everything, but it's very important. They are $60 and are called "next-gen" so what is so "next-gen" about this beyond playing against PC users? Which IMO is not needed or wanted by Xbox or PC gamers. Just another MS agenda to get more people to pay for online play and boost their subscribers on XBL.

I think the reviewers hated it because it didn't have the originality they thought it was supposed to have, or it just didn't deliver on the hype.

I'm sure its a fun game, but Reviewers are wierd soemtimes.

Razer

Most reviews ive seen show MS beating the PS3 in the graphics dept. So far anyway, and the upcoming games MS and PS3 have show very little difference in visual quality.

I've been playing this for the last 3 days and think it's awesome. The balance is beautifully done – no race feels overpowered – making you want to play them all. And the magic *kisses all the tips of my fingers*

That said, if you don't play online fps, you'll feel robbed. Lately I only play these games online so I'm not complaining!

Maybe its a little pricey, and it has its flaws, but this is one of the best online multiplayer communities xbox live has to offer.

I don't believe in reviews.
If there is a movie I want to see, or a game I want to play, my mind is pretty much made up on seeing/playing before it even comes out.
Why should I let others think for me when I'm perfectly capable of forming my own opinion?

Don't make me laugh, razer - parts of shadowrun has graphics as good as anything you'll find in Gears - it's a very beautiful game. Maybe you should actually, you know, SEE it before you go all Sony fanboy on us.

Like it or not - Gears of War set the standard for console graphics - and it's a 1st party game (published by Microsoft Game Studios). I doubt the final version of Halo 3 ends up any kind of slacker, either.

Isn't there some Sony post you can go comment on? Not sure why you're in here reading 360 posts, nothing to do? Aren't there any games coming out for PS3? I very rarely read PS3 posts, too much good stuff going on in 360-land.

My wife got me this because she knows I used toplay the paper game. Anyone want to buy it cheap? It is basically Counterstrike with magic and tech and has pretty much nothing to do with ShadowRun, the original property. If you like fast on-line shooters, you might like this, but I have never understood what was fun about running the same online scenarios over and over and over again. Give me a good storyline and a campaign any day.
