No announcement regarding the price has been made, but 800 MS points ($10) would be a fair guess. Funnily enough, the game's value is inversely proportional to your platforming prowess. Perhaps it's best you don't finish the adventure within the traditional one hour time limit. We'll update this post once we learn the final details.
This Wednesday: Prince of Persia remake pops onto XBLA
15
Ubisoft has told Eurogamer that June 13th's Xbox Live Arcade release will indeed be the revered and now revitalized royalty of platformers, Prince of Persia Classic. First glimpsed in April, the game looks to be a beautiful remake of the first landmark adventure, taking place well before all those "time is an ocean in a storm" shenanigans. As such, you should expect to swig potions, swing swords and plummet down extraordinarily deep chasms on a frequent basis as you attempt to rescue the Princess of Persia... or Posture, by the looks of it.

How much more crap can they put in the arcade? 90% of it is just horrible remakes. BORING. Take a lesson from nintendo, then give this arcade another go. Oh, and by the way, I WANT MY DATA TRANSFER CABLES!!! I ordered them on April 29th, its now June 6th!!!

@2 - Lesson from Nintendo? You mean instead of taking classics and remaking them, just RE-RELEASE them as they were 10 years ago? Virtual Console is exactly that, you're playing the same exact game from years past. No updates, not changes, you're just paying another 5 - 10 dollars for the exact same game you already paid for.
While I'll agree that many of the XBLA remakes are average at best, at least there is ORIGINAL content and XBLA allows for smaller publishers to take advantage of this type of content delivery. I for one will be picking up PoP when it releases next week.

@fob
true but
1. I never owned 90% of the games on VC so I am not paying for them twice
2. Nintendo has hinted that original/indie titles are coming
3. Does PoP even need a remake? Remakes = making you pay twice for a game you already paid for, only SHINY.

Tran- except it changes every aspect of the game from graphics to gameplay? Besides, remakes are there for people who want to play the game (again or for the 1st time) with that better modernised feeling.

People are actually arguing whether it's better to pay the same price for 10-20 year old game versus an extremely polished-looking remake? Wow, that is some fancy brain-washing there.
I, for one, am looking forward to this.

Chuck, are you retarded? Seriously...? Go play your 8-bit rehashes on your little brother's Wii and let the rest of us enjoy an awesome redux of a classic game.

Okay... Let's get this straight. XBLA shouldn't release remakes... instead they should do like VC... that only releases remakes. And that's without demos, sometimes with less features (since VC games don't support rumble, or N64 games that don't support Memory Pack stuff). But with XBLA "remakes" most of the time, they at least feature Online play, all features work... and you have DEMOS!!!! so you can try out a game, and know if you like it or it sucks.. before you've spent your money on it.
Honestly, i stil think it's the other way around. Nintendo needs to learn from XBLA.
