This is looking good so far, although I really hope the animation is just as high quality.

@1 - I agree 100%. SFIII, while it was still sprite based, had some of the best animations for a 2D fighting game. I hope that they'll be able to reproduce this with Remix.

And yes, I'll buy it AGAIN, just I bought SFII and SFII Turbo for the NES, SSFII Remix for the GBA, SF2 Anniversary for Xbox, and of course SF2 Hyper for XBLA. Not to mention the countless quarters I spent at the arcade....

The animation will not change. It will be a frame for frame translation of the original.

Wow! The actual sprite is taller than the horizontal rez of a SDTV. It would be cool if they remixed the audio for higher quality. The voices should stay the same but resampled at higher bitrates.

This game is going to be amazing.

Looking very nice.
I really want the animations to be beefed up though. This version of SF has crappy animation. Expl. Ryu's fireball animation consist of like 2 frames. Where as in SF3 the same move had over 10 animations. Still it is looking amazingly clear.

Waaaaaaitasecond.

If this game is a remix of SFII, why are we getting an Akuma sprite?

@ Ithilis

In Super Street Fighter II Turbo, Akuma was a secret character.

Thanks for the heads-up, man. I obviously don't know my SF history as well as I thought I did. I didn't think Akuma appeared until later in the series.
