Viva Pinata should win every video game award invented.
Yeah, I said it.

I predict Crackdown will wind up being better than Halo 3.

Crackdown was good but it was sooooo easy and there wasn't much to do after you beat the bosses. Not a really memorable game but it was fun while I played it.

crackdown was definitely something new and refreshing, cant wait for the sequel

@5. Sorry but I just have to laugh at the (unintended?) irony of your post. But I agree wholeheartedly nonetheless. :-)
Tavin.

@4 (James):
I'm guessing you're one of the people that ran through it on "tough" and now says it was too easy.
There's a reason they give you three difficulty settings. Play Psychotic. It's quite a bit more challenging.
Better yet, play co-op. Always a blast.

@1: Viva Pinata SHOULD get an award.
That game was just all kinds of awesome, it deserved much better marketing.
Ryan de michigan @ Jun 8th 2007 6:02PM
They actually spent more money marketing Viva Pinata than they did developing it.
Huricos @ Jun 8th 2007 6:06PM
Guess that shows that pumping alot of money into marketing doesn't make it good marketing.
All I know is, the game was awesome but no-one played it.

Viva Pinata and Crackown own your soul like Shang Tsung.

Crackdown is a fantastic game and deserves all the success it can garner. Probably the best "sandbox" game I've ever played.
"Skills for Kills Agent - Skills for Kills!"

"I can see my house from here!"

Crackdown was a breath of fresh air. It's not close to grand theft auto - it uses ideas from grand theft auto, by for my money it was the first real action-oriented sandbox game ever made. Seriously, it's like simcity, only this time your making explosions and killing things rather than building things. bravo real time worlds. With more depth you could have one of the greatest games ever made, can't wait fot the sequil.

frontrunners! whores! sheep!
i seem to remember hearing plenty along the lines of ... "Crackdown: free w/purchase of Halo 3 Beta"
up your nose with a rubber hose.
"do i need to spell it out for you agent?
DO ... NOT ... KILL ... INNOCENT ... CIVILIANS !!!"
Purple Haze @ Jun 8th 2007 11:07PM
"best use of online and innovation"
Halo 3 Beta
Dustin @ Jun 9th 2007 12:54AM
I can't tell you how many times I loaded it up to play Halo3, and when I see the crackworld, I just say "aww hell, I just need to whack some shai-gen"
Neo with a Badge @ Jun 9th 2007 11:24AM
The Halo 3 beta tie-in was a good marketing gimmick, but Crackdown totally rocks all on its own. Realtime Worlds deserves all the accolades that come their way. Great game.
Those who complain the game was too short fail to realize that the gameplay is limited ONLY by your own imagination. You get out of it what you bring to it. It's truly a game without limits.
Well done.
