We regret to inform you that the Halo animated series which briefly flitted about in your imagination solely came about due to a transcription error. ever consider the slight chance that since the halo universe revolves around the army that this cartoon would be a bit more adult orientated, who says animation is bad? they probably chose animation for a few reasons, its easy and cheap to get any type of effect you want, aliens are easier to draw than to put into a live action scene, and this way they don't have to put any famous or soon to be famous faces on the characters, they can portray every character as they really want and not use makeup on actors

So, was the "animated" a typo and they corrected it?
If it is animated and CG and looks anything like any of the trailers (Halo Wars or the comercial from Decemeber), then this is a good thing.
