Last day to play the Halo 3 beta

I just wanted to say thanks to Bungie for the opportunity to get a little taste of this game. The experience was surprisingly polished, as it was a beta (delta) I was expecting lots of lag and pop-in and glitching, but it was incredibly well put together and in many ways is better than most games out. This really excites me to think how much better the final build will be! Halo 3 will make some heads turn come September 25th!

I only played it the opening weekend. Will have plenty of time to play it when it comes out.

Too bad I had to get the ring of death during all this.

Yeah, like Jeff I currently have a busted 360 (well its in texas or on its way back, but I can't use it) thanks to the red ring, I didn't need it for the rest of this month but it had to die during the beta. Nice MS.

Hey Dac, not to be annoying, but most North American 360s are made in Redmond, Washington. I live there. :)

I've only played a few times because I don't have the beta and only played at a friend's house. Even so, I was thoroughly impressed in all respects and can't wait for September 25.

There has got to be a way to mod the 360's to have them retain the halo 3 software and play using something like xboxconnect. Anyone think this is possible? Of course, you'd never be able to update your 360 or go online ever again, but I think a lot of halo fanboys would sacrifice that, since halo is the only game they really use the online features of the xbox for anyway.

Been playing most nights for a while since the Beta...save for a few. I'll be on there until it's over tonight! 4AM EST I believe! Let's kill 'till daybreak!

Last day... Great!!!!!!!!!!! next time bungie makes a beta release they should set the clock to 5 minutes because that was more then enough for me to realize how worthless this game is!

I think they probably got so much good data and feedback out of this, I can't wait until the September release to see how they've polished it all...

In other news: I didn't play the beta much... but I will miss it not being there.

Here's my plan. We tell bungie they should let us continue playing beta as long as possible until we either have to go somewhere or sleep or whatever. As in, a Beta marathon, when you can't play beta any longer your time is up.

Like to day that it's been REALLY fun!! Even though I play nearly 180 games I still feeling short changed! Not because of Bungie, no! I was visited by the red Ring of Death on June 1st, #$%^!!!! I can't wait until September 25th!!!

Who cares it's the last day. I love halo, but I can wait till Sept. There are gonna be plenty of other games to hold me over.

Well it's 00:08 GMT so thank god for the time difference! Forgot it was ending today. Time for a last few games before bed I think!

Didn't expect to see so many "my xbox died" comments, yet I bet there are a few fanboys who don't beleive this is as bad as "they" say it is...much like many Persians don't want to believe the holocaust happened...sorry fellas, I've been there. Just get one from Best Buy and take it back after 30 days to tide you over...

I also got the 3 flashing red lights early on in the halo 3 beta as I was sitting at the intro screen for a few minutes but after I unplugged the power for a minute and plugged it back in and turned it on, everything was fine again.

HALO 4 BETA STILL WORKS.....only for custom games.......but some people report that once exiting the Beta there's no way to get back in........but I thought I'd share that info with you.....oh and I don't know how to get the custom game setting.....sorry..... :( .......but if anyone wants the custom game setting they can be my friend and it will activate.....because apparently if you join a friends party who has the custom game feature.....YOU GET IT TOO......so yeah......my gamer tag is nico792......SEE YA

Nick was right..as of 4:30 am EST, (12:30 PST), The Beta was still up and working if you were engaged within a custom gametype. I played for another half hour before deciding enough was enough. One friend of mine is still within the Beta at 5:35 am EST (1:35 PST.)

I'd never tried a custom gametype until right at the very end..I chose to replace all weapons with shotguns, add the Wraith tank (woot!) and speed up the leader in the match.

I LOVED zooming around and jumping Crouching Tiger style! I went up onto that 'A' shaped rock formation in the water near the wall in Valhalla and sniped for awhile. Nobody else could touch me..:)

Bungie, thanks again for the awesome Beta! Except for some irritating game dropouts and BAD spawn locations (right in the MIDDLE of a firefight??), you impressed me more than ever before..and I wasn't a Halo 2 fan.

Hope there's a Transformers Movie game demo this week!!!!

it was fun, some thing were so much better then h2, and h1. All weapons were good other then the needler its turned way up on damage.

game had a few issues with crashing for me, everytime i tried to make it crash it would. but i think they fixed it with the last update before the end

I liked it. Really looking forward to the single player game though!

RRoD here too. I was lucky enough to get a total of 2 days of playing time. Console # 3 died just as the public beta started. The console (console # 4) I got back lasted all of 2 days before crapping out again. Granted, that is the quickest I have ever seen that, but it had to happen during the beta. I am now cautiously playing on console # 5.

Is it just me, or is anyone else kind of starting to maybe get just a little bit pissed off with the hardware yet? I'm finding it increasingly more difficult to grin and bear it. Sure, they've taken care of the warranty, but I want to play my 360, not sit and wait for it to be shipped back and forth for weeks at a time. It's really getting ridiculous.
