After playing Halo 3 multi, I don't think there's any way I can go back to Halo 2.

i went back and played a couple of halo 2 matches, those who whine about the graphics of Halo3 need to go sit down, the difference is HUGE!

The closest I'll come to ever putting Halo 2 in my machine again is to go through both 1 and 2's campaign mission a week or two before September 25th. Other than that I enjoyed Halo 2 while it lasted....Give me my Halo 3 back.

I'll be playing some Halo 2, but these contests are retarded because it just promotes cheating and encourages people who don't cheat to consider it if they want a chance to win.

The sheer volume of lag and the blatant host factor on Halo 2 makes this the 'best connection owners get a prize' contest.

golly gee willickers guys, you mean MS didn't get rid of the big bad modders with their misguided banhammer?????

seriously, I'll be partaking of this tourney, but since I don't cheat, I suspect I won't win (or place for that matter), as natural talent has no hopes of defeating modified superhuman abilities.

I found the balance just to be so much better in Halo 3 that I will miss it when I venture back into Halo 2. I will play H2 but not in the contest, as I am not good enough to fare well. Also, I have now become a convert to the concept of team play. Gears of War and the Halo 3 beta absolutely have convinced me. I don't think I will return to FFA for any large spats (maybe the occasional foray, but nothing long-term). Now if they would just add open chat as discussed in a previous X3F blog post!

I unfortunately didn't get in on the Halo3 Beta and actually just started playing Halo 2 mulitiplayer online and keep hearing about cheaters and modders, but am not sure what is considered cheating. I've googled it and haven't really gotten a clear answer on this matter. Can you all tell me what exactly is considered cheating and/or where I can find a good site that explains it so that I know when its happening to me? I was the best "offline" mulitplayer I know and right now I just feel like I suck pretty hard and this is my only glimmer of hope that I'm not actually this bad. (I also want to make sure that I'm not cheating myself in anyway.) Thanks!
