Hooray. Another movie tie-in. Just what we English speakers have been waiting for. At least the Japanese will be having some fun this week with Ninja Gaiden. Knowing their mad skills they'll have completed it by the time it's released in the west in a couple of weeks. If you need something to occupy you until then, then you might want to pick up my new book - How to generalise an entire nation in a single sentence: It's easy with my three step program..

If you're particularly language savvy, or you can deal with just looking at the pretty pictures and not the words, then feel free to import any of the Asian releases. You may not be able to read those funny squiggles, but your PS3 can. Release dates are subject to constant change, so check with your retailer just in case.

I'm pretty sure the Japanese version of Ninja Gaiden Sigma will have an option for english dialogue and menus.

I wonder very much about Ninja Gaiden Sigma, because I think I have the Japan store’s demo version, and that has English text in it (and Japanese voices)…

I guess I’ll have to buy it to see if that’s true for the full version as well.

I'd wait for the US release of Ninja Gaiden Sigma see as how the Japanese demo was censored so weather the full game will or won't be is still to be seen

i wonder if sigma will get censored in japan like the original did. no beheadings n such. the original had options for japanese/english dialog and text.

who is puttin money down on silver surfer being the worst ps3 game so far..... im taking all bets

i got 2 to 1 odds its even worse than spiderman3

with no region lock-down like SOME consoles. ;), I will have to actively getting one from one of the online stores/eBay

anybody know a good online store for Japanese game.

I just bought Ninja Gaiden Sigma, and I confirm that in-game speech, menus and subtitles are all available in both Japanese and English.

PS3 fanboy, what about creating a page containing information about language options in Japanese releases? That would be very helpful for all us importers and people living in Japan with still-mediocre Japanese language skills (like me :)).

The data I could contribute is: NFS Carbon (Japanese only), Enchant Arm (Japanese only), Ridge Racer (many languages incl. Dutch) and Resistance (many languages incl. Dutch).
